EXTINCT
Ancient civilizations believed in death to be a pilgrimage between life and the hereafter: a passage worthy of celebration.
Our inspiration goes deep into the past, revering ancient designers: Incas, Mayans; the Day of the Dead, and its beliefs by creating a pathway that connects nature’s eternal cycle.
As art and spirits disperse and remain silent, both in this world and the nirvana.
And what is death after all, if not life broken into atoms, where the soul disperses into the silence of nature’s eternal cycle? As the indigenous artists used to depict both life and death inherent to each other; a common duality that life and death intertwine, like quiet birds that shine at night.

AVENTINE
When mentioned the word Aventine, most people’s minds wander directly to the Roman hill of Aventine, accompanied by the fresh smell of roses and oranges.
MA+KE lab Aventine collection is all about dreaming and wandering into another reality. During challenging times we offer the opportunity to travel from one point to another through design. It offers you an opportunity to travel in your mind to Central Europe, to a beautiful hill of mansions, marvelous gardens, and a miraculous view of Rome.
Our previous collection Extinct gave life to lost birds, but Aventine revives some ancient dreaminess. Legend tells us that Remus had selected the Aventine to live on. It was there that he watched the flight of birds to observe omens, while his brother Romulus stood on the Palatine, each claiming the better results. Our Aventine collection inspires us to take time, enjoy the beauty where it can be seen, and watch signs for a better future.

ETERNAL GARDEN
The collection encapsulates patterns of the unusual and wonderful plants, scarce or extinct in the wild. Revitalized in the caring hands of gardeners.
Gardens have been a cradle of aesthetic and beauty ever since the emergence of the first civilizations. Place where humankind can recreate and celebrate nature. In that the idea of the Eternal Garden is created, ever-present and indestructible. It has achieved a wonderous form in the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and become a religious symbol in the garden of Eden. In them, we can experience some of the world’s most ancient and rare plants.
Eternal Garden is a visual poem about caring for something so fragile, yet so beautiful.
This sanctuary unfolds as a dreamy view from the ground to the sky. Starting with mostly ground-dwelling flora and growing
into the sky with lush blooms. It is an opportunity to appreciate and marvel at miraculous plants that have grown and still dwell on our planet.
The collection brings back to existence some of the most uncommon and ephemeral flora in the world. Ginkgoaceae one of the world’s most archaic plants, predating dinosaurs. Calamites that in the past were, unlike modern horsetails, a wonderous fern forest. Saint Helena Olive extinct tree whose seeds are waiting in storage for future gardeners to bring its blooms to the world again
The colour palette is reminiscent of the four seasons that all gardens go through and, in that forms, the eternal cycle of life.

ENDLESS OCEAN
Step into the enchanting world of Paralleelium, where art and design converge to celebrate the ever-changing nature that surrounds us. Our second series, “Endless Ocean,” beckons you to embark on a journey of exploration into new and unseen worlds.
“Endless Ocean,” we delve even deeper into the captivating world of parallel realities. This series revolves around windows that offer glimpses of the expansive natural world that surrounds us. “Endless Ocean” symbolizes the perpetual movement of water—a seamless and powerful force that sustains all life on our planet. In this perspective, we discover that we are interconnected, part of an omnipotent force that operates both within and around us.
Moreover, “Endless Ocean” brings to light the Paralleelium habitat project. Though still in its nascent stages, this project envisions gardens dedicated to preserving and nurturing endangered plants like Anacamptis pyramidalis, Cephalanthera longifolia, Cephalanthera rubra, Epipogium aphyllum, Gymnadenia odoratissima, Orchis morio, Orchis sambucinus, and
Cypripedium calceolus. These precious orchids, found in northern European meadows, face the threat of extinction due to habitat loss and climate fluctuations.
“Endless Ocean” aims to raise awareness about these endangered plant species and inspire action to protect our natural heritage. As you journey through this parallel universe of beauty and melancholy, you’ll find each artwork becomes a window to a different reality, inviting you to embrace the diverse wonders that lie beyond the veil of everyday life.
Join us in MA+KE Lab Paralleelium, where artistic expression meets the preservation of endangered species. Experience the extraordinary beauty that nature and parallel realms have to offer, and together, let’s foster an empathic coexistence among diverse species and protect the rich biodiversity of our planet.

The feeling of responsibility, but also the need for escape is resonating from all over the world. Not knowing which way, the tables will turn for the future generations, we wonder and dream even deeper of all the realities, that could have manifested if decisions would have been made differently.
Behind the MA + KE lab´s design is Martin Tõnts, Master of Graphic Arts from EKA and his creation illuminating the art of patterns. Captivating room concepts have been created by product designer and photographer Kevin Pineda, whos been curating several exhibitions in Italy, France, and Germany. Mystical pattern world has been brought into our quantum reality by Nele Kont a graduate of TUT with a master’s degree in materials technology. MA+Ke lab seeks to show patterns, their story in interdisciplinary format between concept design and classical graphic arts.
Throughout most of history, there’s been a symbiotic relationship between artists, fictional storytellers, and scientists. It sparks the imaginations for the alternative ways how our future might turn out to be, depending on each choice we make as individuals or collectively.
