Dallas is part of the larger Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, one of the largest and fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the United States. The region covers a vast area with various suburbs and neighborhoods. Despite being a major urban center, Dallas offers several green spaces and parks. White Rock Lake, Klyde Warren Park, and the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden are popular outdoor destinations.

HISTORICAL ELEMENT
The design should focus on a lounge/bar with a light meal service. The atmosphere/aesthetic must reflect the concept of “cocktail lounge” but can do so in a contemporary manner. The menu and concept should be based on at least 1 item found from the archives department.
The Plaza is a famous luxury hotel located in New York City. It is situated at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Central Park South. The Plaza is known for its opulent architecture, historical significance, and association with high-profile guests.
The Plaza Hotel opened in 1907 and has since played a prominent role in New York City's social and cultural scene.
The Plaza features a French Renaissance château-style architecture and offers luxurious accommodations, including rooms and suites that are elegantly designed with a blend of traditional and modern elements.
The Plaza was designated a New York City Landmark in 1969, later becoming part of the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
CLIENT DESCRIPTION
This restaurant aims to convey timeless elegance inspired by The Plaza Hotel's opulent French Renaissance architecture. The design will feature regal jewel tones such as emerald green, sapphire blue, and ruby red, creating an intimate and sophisticated space. Luxurious velvet seating will cover the furniture, encouraging guests to comfortably immerse themselves in the lavish atmosphere. Crystal chandeliers and gold accents will add a touch of glamour, completing the space with a nod to the lavish charm of the plaza hotel. The result will be a harmonious blend of classic luxury and vibrant jewel tones, creating a space that exudes an air of timeless opulence reminiscent of The Plaza Hotel.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
YOUmedia has decided to expand its digital learning program to locations throughout the Midwest. Design a teen space focused on digital learning at one of the Milwaukee Public Library locations. The library has identified approximately 3000 SF of space will be the future home for this project.

This teen space located on the second floor of Central Milwaukee’s Public Library will transform into a space where teens can hang out, get help with homework, experiment with design software in a range of disciplines, record music, and participate in a variety of digital media activities and workshops.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
This library space will encapsulate the history of the building by maintaining its ornateness with delicate details but contrasting this with elements of simple, contemporary design. A calm. collaborative, and productive atmosphere will be created by incorporating muted colors throughout the space with abundant natural light.

Design a house in Palm Springs, CA. The house is a mid-century modern original by the architect Joseph Eichler. The project will focus on Universal and Accessible Design to suite your assigned clients needs. Consider universal design, aging in place, and visibility guidelines and recommendations when making design decisions.
CLIENT DESCRIPTION
Rosa and Clara are mother and daughter. Rosa owns the home and has Multiple Sclerosis. She is doing great right now, but needs the home designed for when the symptoms start getting worse. They will obviously have separate bedrooms. Rosa and Clara would like their home to be modern boho and reflect the desert landscape and beauty of the Coachella Valley. They love pink, desert tones as well as the creamy, beige colors of the modern boho style. Rosa would love to have a small area to lay out her yoga mat and do aerobic exercises. Clara enjoys fashion and thrifting new clothes so having a large closet is a must.

Design an urban residential space for a chosen client in an older, converted commercial building.
CLIENT DESCRIPTION
A couple in mid-twenties living in Los Angeles, California. Male is a 25-yearold CEO of a financing company and female is a 24year-old famous influencer. She needs a space with a lot of storage and an office to film and edit videos. He plays the piano and guitar and would like a space to do so along with having his own office. A sizable kitchen and small workout space is desired since the couple live a healthy lifestyle. They also love traveling as they both love exploring nature and want to incorporate lots of greens and natural earthy tones into their home.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The goal of this space is to become a clean and cozy home to come back to with a modern, minimalistic, boho vibe all mixed with Muted greens and lots of lush plants.

The object of this assignment is to design and build a stool/ support/ surface with materials and processes available. This project will be mainly constructed out of ½” plywood. Ideally the stool supports users weight.
INTENT
The goal for this project is to design a form that benefits personal needs and desires to own a small, multifunctional furniture piece that matches my bedroom aesthetic and has storage as well as a surface to sit on or to place objects on.
