eSafety and netiquette

Before we started with our first activities, we decided to have a look at what we should bear in mind when working online.
1) e-safety
2) Copyright
This is also another important issue as not everything we find on the Internet is free: PRESENTATION
For that reason we should try to use FREE IMAGES and FREE SOUNDS
3) Netiquette VIDEO
SESSIONS
Activity 1 - ♀ Welcome to our European Kingdom - introducing ourselves
As a first activity, we said something about ourselves using the following PADLET.
It was very interesting, and some students even posted some pictures of themselves or the activities they do at their free time.

Activity 2 - ✈ Presenting a country which is worth travelling to
In our second activity we left our imagination fly and made some presentations about countries we would like to visit. We searched information and created our presentations.
These were the instructions: "If I were a king/ queen, I would......"
Imagine you were a king/ queen - which country would you like to travel to and why? Together in pairs create a presentation with genially, prezi, canva, PowerPoint or genially on one country the queen visited during the last years. Why would you like to go there? In your presentation you must complete the sentence: "If I were a king/ queen I would travel to …. because ….. What would you like to improve/ or change in that country? Landmarks, contributions to the EU or world, importance in History.
Here you have some examples:

Activity 3 - Christmas postcards from Buckingham Palace
Then Christmas arrived and we did a special activity:
Imagine you are queen, and you are going to write a Christmas postcard to one person (famous or not, politician, writer, singer, NGO, ...) who has really deserved getting a postcard from the queen. Who would that person be and why?
As we do not want to damage the environment using paper, we will write virtual postcards. In order to do that, you can use Canva or others (be original!).
All the postcards were gathered in the following GENIALLY:

Activity 4 - Logo competition
We also realised that our common project needed a nice logo, so using different online tools such as CANVA or Online Logo Maker we created some proposals. After voting using GOOGLE FORMS, we chose the German logo. It definitely represented the project!!!

Activity 5 – Interview with a famous person

For the 5th activity we decided to focus on famous people. These were the instructions for the activity:
Elizabeth II met with many greats of this world. Let's choose a character / celebrity from the present or the past.
• Which people would you like to meet. Why?
• Which chosen person (if you were Queen Elizabeth II) would you award knighthood. Why? What are this person's merits? It does not have to be a UK person
• Let's do an interview with this person: INCLUDE - what would you like to know from her / him / them. And in the following links you can see some of our interviews: LINK , LINK, LINK1, LINK2, LINK
Activity 6 - Let’s create a longevity lifestyle together.
In this last activity we focused on healthy lifestyle. Queen Elizabeth II lived for many years and is known to have been in very good health. Did her diet have something to do with it?
• How was Elizabeth II diet similar to / different from one of the select countries that HRM visited? Compare the food eaten by the Queen or in the UK and the one of the selected countries she visited.

• How about your country? Do you think people in your country eat properly? How are things changing nowadays? Are young people worried about this issue?
• What methods of longevity are used by people in the countries of the world? which are the most effective? Is there a relationship between a healthy diet/lifestyle and longevity?
So first we reflected on the food and lifestyle of our own country. We used a Google doc to answer to the idea of healthy diets and healthy lifestyle including whatever we considered relevant to the topic. In this reflection we also included a recipe of a typical-traditional dish of our country which we thought might improve our health and help our longevity. This was really funny, and some students even recorded the process of cooking their recipe!!!
We also created some KAHOOTS about our reports so our partners could play and learn more about us and , finally, all countries send some questions to the rest about this topic so we could all clarify our doubts and curiosities about the rest.
