The growth rings of De Zetel may not show but the durability of its beech and oak products shines through in each and every one of its creations. As an FSC and PEFC certified company, De Zetel exclusively works with wood from sustainably managed forests.

ZCREATIONS Z-Creations is the division within De Zetel focused on creating seating for the hotel and catering industry and for individual projects. This important and demanding segment of the market can reap myriad benefits from the company’s decades of craftsmanship and for this reason, Z-Creations collaborates with hand-picked creative talent for product and interior design.

BAMBI LHOAS & LHOAS

Alongside annually launching a selection of new products, Z-Creations has also emerged as an innovative project partner and a point of reference for the trade and designers. The “Z” refers to Gerrit Rietveld’s zig-zag chair and is a metaphor for the thought process behind creating equilibrium between functionality, aesthetics and price.

LHOAS & LHOAS Pablo Lhoas finished his studies in architecture at La Cambre in Brussels in 1989, closely followed by his brother Pierre, one year later. They gained experience in different studios and then decided to consolidate their knowledge and talent into one architect’s studio by establishing Lhoas & Lhoas. They have developed a wide range of projects of different natures and scales, in Belgium and abroad.

Their buildings and furniture reveal a constant search for ambiguity, contrasts and intentional inexactness. Hovering between the pure pleasure of forms and radical functionalism, between artisan craftsmanship and the abstract is their favourite pastime, which certainly shines through in the Bambi collection for Z-Creations.

BAMBI The Bambi collection from the Brusselsbased architect duo Lhoas & Lhoas has a strong graphic design component with its simple shape and almost rustic appearance. The solid wood designs have all the hallmarks of handmade furniture.

The hybrid, raw and yet luxurious look exemplifies the style of Lhoas & Lhoas, who designed this Bambi collection specifically for the interior public spaces of the Wiels Contemporary Art Centre in Brussels.

BAMBI LHOAS & LHOAS

Bambi’s disarming charm means that these chairs, stools and tables have detached themselves from their original context. They are reminiscent of the De Stijl art movement and are as accessible as they are discreet.
