Hydrogen is a key element for the energy transition, at the center of the challenges of global warming. Given its strategic properties, green and low-carbon hydrogen will play a key role in the decarbonization process, in the transport sector, as a feedstock and as a building block to produce different products.

NextChem has in portfolio three technologies to produce three different types of low carbon and renewable hydrogen.

The bridging solution toward a 100% green future: produced from natural gas, but by electrifying the process, reducing emissions by 45%, which can be further reduced thanks an effective process of capturing CO2.

Green Hydrogen is the most sustainable and the only zero-carbon option. There are no stack and no emissions involved, and it can be used as feedstock for CO2 and RES valorization as carbon-neutral e-fuels and chemicals.

This technology allows to achieve zero NOX, CO, SOX and particulate emissions, producing four times more hydrogen volumes with the same amount of energy than an electrolyser.

Thanks to EPC contractors’ capacity of integrating the technologies functional to the process, it is important their involvement from the early stages of a project development.

Maire Tecnimont, through its subsidiaries Tecnimont Private Limited (TCMPL) and NextChem, is working on an EPC contract by Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) to implement a 4.3 tons per day green hydrogen production plant in Vijaipur, in Central India.

H2 from Non-Recyclable Plastic Waste Chemical Conversion Produced by syngas obtained by the chemical conversion of carbon and hydrogen contained in plastic and dry waste that are non-recyclable. It offers significant environmental benefits because it can contribute to solve the problem of non-recyclable waste and to the decarbonization of refineries, and it has a competitive cost.

The synergy between waste management & disposal and the chemical industry results in a very promising technology.
