Prada inspiration
I got my first inspiration from a Prada and Schiaparelli book I found the image on the left of the repeated print of lips, and this is where my research for repeated print started, I then found the collection where the print was from and started producing my own designs inspired by the Prada lip print
I started getting inspiration from lips so I found artwork that focused on lips and created my own copies experimenting with different colours and shapes of lips helped me expand my design ideas
I created this print by using simple mark making techniques to create an effective print
My color scheme works well together, and the colors really complement each other
For my designs I created a similar throughout for example similar collar and cuff details I really like these looks I think they look very sharp and work really well together
After illustrating fish scales I decided to create a design inspired by scales and the fish shape. For example the arms and legs are inspired by the fish fins. The type of material I would like to experiment with for this kind of design is coloured foil I think this would create a good scale look and also be inspired by the ocean water
I got the details of the different types of scales and skin to gain more research on what kind of effects I could make to material for them to come out similar to scales
I created this vest jacket and styled it inspired by marc Jacob's goldfish dress
I created this goldfish illustration and made it into a screen print
I really like how this vest came out I like the faded look on the fish and the extra details of the signature orange tag and the black binding on the outside of the print
I started my design kn owing I wanted a signature look
I wanted extra details like the seam on the outside a raw edge pocket detail and the asymmetric detail

A S S Y M E T R I C A l . Skirt project
I went to a Paul smith expedition and really loved the colour of the blue corduroy jacket (1st picture) so I started doing research into artist using the colour blue and I was told aboutYves Klien an artist who just specialised in the colour blue I really liked his work, and I knew it was something I wanted to incorporate
After I had figured out my print, I then produced my chosen colour scheme and created a collection and incorporated all my prints
My colour scheme was inspired by Paul smith andYves Klien
To confirm my print for the skirt I needed to check that the blue stripes matchedmy orangeprint for the blue stripes I used dyes and a heat press and then with the orange print I had a screen print and startedprinting
I really liked this combinationI felt the colours really worked well together and complimented each other
This is my finished skirt I feel very proud of it, and I feel like all my ideas got transferred into this skirt and it all came together
I really like all the extra added details such as print on the pocket
And the seams being visible on the outside with a raw edge for a rawer look
My asymmetrical skirt really makes it different and stand out this added detail creates a strong lead for a collection full of asymmetric sleeves collars and trouser lengths

I was given a project brief to design a product for a local store in Nottingham so I decided to get inspiration from the city itself I illustrated two Of Nottingham's buildings and collaged them together to create a repeated print
My screen print sample combining my print and Nottingham post newspaper
For my print I knew I wanted to layer both my print and the Nottingham post print to create that traditional newspaper look based in Nottingham
Both the black and the red really complement each other I feel like the red especially highlights the print over the black print. I believe the print will look especially good as a lining on a velvet material
PR N T
Whilst taking pictures around Nottingham I liked the structureof all the windows so I created a sample with calico and a foil plate and folded the plate into tiny squares to create that similar window effect
Experimenting with zips
I created designs inspired by Fred perry
There was a design I created including zips for extra details I really liked my design and I wanted to create the collar with zips so I can see what it would look like I feel my ideas came across through my collar the zips really bring the collar together and creates an individual look
