The Maidstone River Festival started 42 years ago and has been a tradition in the town. Boats sail to #Maidstone, #Kent on the last Saturday of July. Many boats will be dressed up and some will be illuminated at night. There's a raft race in the River Medway at 2.30 where locally-made craft will challenge one another to a race. There will be stalls and entertainment along the riverfront, and this year, the #Lockmeadow Town Square is back in use.
