A few free tips on lawn and garden care If you’re looking for landscaping tips for your garden or yard, this is the right place for you. Whether you are a master gardener or you are just starting off with this great new hobby, you will find the following helpful. These are some free ideas that can help you begin decorating or planting, with results that will certainly make your garden more aesthetically pleasing. Probably the most important question you need to ask yourself when you’re out thinking about what to plant and where to plant it is: what parts of the garden get sunny throughout the day and which areas are in the shade? Too often people plant sun-loving plants in shady areas and vice versa. It is quite important for you to assess how much sunlight the plant’s spot is exposed to during the day. For fully sun-loving plants, you need at least 6 hours a day and bear in mind that they are the biggest part of what we prefer to grow. But if you live in an area that is full of, or surrounded by, for example, big buildings, it would probably be better to choose a shade-loving plant. Another common mistake people make is buying a plant that is rather small in size initially, but in time grows significantly larger. People often forget to do research on how big exactly the plant will grow, and place trees in a much smaller space than required. So even if your new tree looks exactly fit for your free space – make sure you read the label first, because there you can find the information needed regarding the size. So what about weeds? Often time lawns and gardens get full of unwanted weeds. Well, it turns out there is a nice solution to that too. A very powerful weapon against the undesired guests is white vinegar. You can buy a gallon, and then fill a spray pump or something similar. Afterwards you just spray your weeds with the vinegar. In a few days they will start looking exhausted and withered and slowly fade away. You can save money, too. For example, more than a few rookie gardeners buy plant markers. Of course, you could do that, but you could also get your hands on an old mini-blind and cut in three or four, leaving enough space in one piece for you to write. There – cheap and clever, isn’t it? Another tip is for when you purchase and plant a new tree. In such case, you must make sure it is watered well. Many people buy new buckets for that, but an old one will do just fine – so will a conventional old planter. You just make a few holes on the bottom of it, after which you fill it with rocks and you place in near the tree. The rocks will cover the holes and help the water drip down slowly into the soil. These are just a few of many tips you can use when it comes to landscape gardening. Best thing about them is that you don’t need a lot of money and a genius innovative brain to make your garden beautiful. To obtain further details, make sure to phone 020 3322 6097.
