So what about weeds? Often time lawns and gardens get full of unwanted weeds. Well, it turns out there is a nice solution to that too. A very powerful weapon against the undesired guests is white vinegar. You can buy a gallon, and then fill a spray pump or something similar. Afterwards you just spray your weeds with the vinegar. In a few days they will start looking exhausted and withered and slowly fade away.

You can save money, too. For example, more than a few rookie gardeners buy plant markers. Of course, you could do that, but you could also get your hands on an old mini-blind and cut in three or four, leaving enough space in one piece for you to write. There – cheap and clever, isn’t it?

Another tip is for when you purchase and plant a new tree. In such case, you must make sure it is watered well. Many people buy new buckets for that, but an old one will do just fine – so will a conventional old planter. You just make a few holes on the bottom of it, after which you fill it with rocks and you place in near the tree. The rocks will cover the holes and help the water drip down slowly into the soil.
