DAY TO DAY ITINERARY Sunday 27 June

Auckland – Dubai We commence the tour with the overnight flight to Dubai Sunday 28 June

Dubai (B) We arrive in Dubai early this morning and after clearing Customs and Immigration formalities, we are met and transferred to our hotel. There is time to rest up after the flight until mid-afternoon when we take a sightseeing tour of the city - a fascinating historical excursion which takes you to the magnificent Jumeirah mosque, past modern palaces sprawled along the coast. old Al Fahidi Fort. We continue our journey by abra (local water taxi) and as you cross the Creek, you see the modern metropolis with its splendid architecture, dwarfing the bustling alleys of our next destination – the gold and spice souks. Brussels (B,D) Today we take part in a sightseeing tour of the city, followed by free time in the afternoon. Tonight, we enjoy our first European dinner together.

Wednesday 01 July

Brussels (Bruges Day Tour) (B) We transport ourselves back in time today and discover the jewels of Belgium’s architectural crown on a full-day Bruges city tour.

Brussels – Maastricht (B,L) We depart Brussels this morning and travel by coach through to Maastricht, one of the oldest cities in Holland and capital city of the province of Limburg. Known as a university city, it is distinguished by its medieval-era architecture and vibrant cultural scene.

During our city tour today, we visit the historical square of ‘het Vrijthof’. This square has attracted people since medieval times when pilgrims came to see the grave of Saint Servatius. We also visit St. Peter’s Caves and many other highlights. During the course of the tour, we will enjoy lunch at a local

Maastricht (Andre Rieu in Concert) (B) Today is yours at leisure before we meet up later this evening for one of the absolute highlights of the tour – seeing Andre Rieu in concert! Enjoy a magical evening with his best performances handpicked by André himself. A night you will always remember.

Eidfjord, Norway (B,L,D) In the innermost reaches of Hardangerfjord, Eidfjord is one of the most beautifully sited towns in this part of Norway. Dwarfed by sheer mountains and cascading waterfalls, only accessible via spiral tunnels and close to charming farms perched on mountain ledges with great views, Eidfjord is simply magnificent. DAY TO DAY ITINERARY Wednesday 8 July Once the very seat of the medieval kingdom of Norway, Bergen is a former Viking stronghold encircled by deep fjords, towering mountains, and sweeping glaciers. Today’s Bergen is very welcoming, with much of the medieval flavour remaining in its harbour. Strike a bargain in one of the many artisans’ workshops, take the cable car to the top of Mt Florien or visit the famous and always entertaining Fish Market. Arrive 8.00am Depart 5.00pm.
