Flashback to D35E x D35W Banquet 2024

Welcome to the final issue of The Sealy News!

It’s crazy for me to be saying that this is the last newsletter I will be publishing for Division 35 West. This experience has been a wild ride and I cannot thank the people with me enough for pushing me through the term.

I hope I was able to serve you, the readers, through my newsletters. At first, I never really understood why people kept saying “Abooga abooga abooga booga booga!” at first but now every abooga means something. Our togetherness at Fall Rally South is a prime example of how close and tightknit this division is. Additionally, I’m forever grateful to have been on division leadership team this year. Thank you so much Isabella for taking a chance on me. I hope you continue to shine your way through college. And to you Division 35 West, thank you for reading these newsletters. Seeing the increase in click impressions of the newsletter brightens my day. I’m so happy to have served as your Division News Editor for this term.

For the FINAL time,

Serving through Design, Brian Brian Regencia

It is officially the last newsletter of the 24-25 term, and with that I have a few words. For starters, thank you to Brian for working tirelessly to create these outstanding newsletters every month. There are so many people that I am grateful for and who have contributed towards this divisions success and my own personal growth over this last year. Special shoutout to my DLiT, Ms. Price, and SVHS officers for your support throughout the entire term. The members and officers of this division have fostered such an amazing environment that I am extremely proud to be leaving behind. We have accomplished more than I could’ve ever imagined. As I reflect and get ready to leave behind my Key Club years I remind you all to do the following: make the most out of your opportunities and experiences. This is your life to live. I wish all of the graduating seniors the best of luck in their future endeavors, and I am excited to see what the future holds for this division. Thank you seals, from the bottom of my heart, for taking a chance on me.

For the last time,

Hiya Sealies!

As my term as Executive Assistant comes to an end, I want to thank you all for the incredible memories and the opportunity to serve alongside such passionate and inspiring individuals. From the beginning of being a simple spirit leader teaching a small group chants for fall rally to serving alongside Isabella as her EA and helping check you all into events alongside Alex and Emily, my fellow EAs and with the rest of DLT, this journey has been unforgettable, and I’ll always treasure the friendships and accomplishments we’ve shared.

Serving my division as an executive assistant this term has been nothing short of a rollercoaster-- waking up early for service events, hyping it up at spirit sessions, and staying late for after-plots with my DLT! This term has left a lasting impact on me, and I’ll forever treasure the memories and meaningful connections I’ve made with Key Clubbers across our region. Cheers to the next term!

How’s it going, seals!

Hey seals! I can’t believe it’s already the end of the term, I feel like i just started serving as your FTC yesterday. Hopefully you were able to have fun at our fundraising events and buy yummy food at our fundraisers. One of the most fulfilling things I was able to do is to use the funds that we raised and give it back to the very seals that power us. I am so proud to be able to be a part of this term, and this term has been nothing short of amazing. From the long nights organizing Fall Rally merch to making food right before a DCM, I would like to thank each and every one of you guys for a memorable term. I cant wait to see what we can accomplish!

WHAT’S UP SEALIES!!

This past term has been my first active term, but has been such a memorable one. From our first DCM, to teaching you guys chants at Spirit Sessions, seeing our mama seal on the Fall Rally stage, to our last DCM of the term being this Sunday. Thank you Isabella for trusting me with the position of Spirit Coord. and working so patiently with me. I am extremely grateful to have this position , and I’m so privileged for have met every single one of you amazing seals. I remember first joining Keyclub in my freshmen year, oblivious as to what it was. Now I can proudly say in this community I’ve built so many connections and I know it’s the place where I belong. To returning seals, I can’t wait to see familiar faces, make stronger connections and memories with you guys! To retiring seals, I hope our paths inevitably cross, and I wish you luck and success on your next steps through life. And to the incoming seals, I hope Keyclub can become a place of comfort, and fun, somewhere to go when you need a break from any worries like school. On that note seals, a year ago I made it my personal goal to become approachable. A set of ears and open arms, if you want to just talk and have a friend besides you. I hope that in this term, I’ve inspired with you guys to maybe step out of your shell, whether it’s with chanting or maybe talking to the person beside you. BUT ANYWAYS!! Enough with my yapping, I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ON OF YU SEALS and, stay dabbing!

LIP DUB

On March 14, our school’s ASB held their annual lip dub after school at the center quad. Clubs were warned in advance so we could get posters, prompts, and volunteers set up. This year was different from the previous one, as this year we were accompanied by our LTG Isabella and the division’s media editor Anqi. Not only were they part of helping out in our area, but they also represented key club in front of the camera as they were the main singers for our area. This opportunity was a great way for members to come together and showcase that sealie spirit to encourage others to seek interest in key club.

OPEN HOUSE CARNIVAL

On March 27 Arroyo hosted a back to school night carnival. Different departments of the school came out including many different clubs, key club being one of them. We had a little over 20 volunteers, some helped by guild people around and some did tasks that were given to them by the assistant principal from 5 pm to 7:40 pm. We also had our own key club booth where we answer any questions parents or anyone curious about what key club. Lastly we also had our own “Photo Booth” in hopes to recruit new key clubbers.
