Welcome to The Big Eat 2025 Hampshire Street Food Festival

The Big Eat is a non-profit festival that aims to reward, promote, and celebrate the very best of Hampshire’s street food scene.

Sponsored by family-owned and award-winning motor group Snows Toyota, our event celebrates local food and talent, with all profits supporting local food banks.

Local is at the heart of everything we do. From the traders and performers to the charities we support, we’re passionate about lifting up our community and shouting “local” from the rooftops. Our ethos is simple: create an unforgettable, inclusive day out for the whole family - one that’s free to enter, full of fun, and gives back to those who need it most.

Visitors can expect an incredible variety of street food from some of the region’s most talented vendors, alongside licensed bars serving locally sourced drinks, and a vibrant market packed with artisan and

craft traders. With not one, but two live music stages, and a fantastic range of children’s entertainment.

Master Chef UK 2023 Winner

Chariya Khattiyot will be officially opening our festival! She’ll be here each day, selling her delicious food! She’s looking forward to trying the delicious food made by our talented vendors.

Great British Bake Off 2024

Finalist Christiaan de Vries will be at The Big Eat on Saturday, fundraising by selling homemade brûlée lemon bars! Christiaan won over Great British Bake Off fans as a 2024 finalist, impressing with his artistic bakes and creative flavours.

Enjoy an amazing weekend, and know that by joining us, you’re supporting something special.

Support in the community

The Big Eat isn’t just about delicious street food and great entertainment - at its core, it’s a community-driven event with a mission to support local people in need.

Our primary charitable focus is Hound Basics Food Bank, a churchled, community-focused initiative that has been supporting individuals and families in short-term need since 2013. Based in Netley, Hound Basics offers essential food and practical support to those experiencing hardship across the local area.

We’re proud that the funds raised from The Big Eat help keep this vital service running. In 2024, the festival raised an incredible £5,000 for Hound Basics - a figure we hope to beat in 2025. We also support a wide range of

other community events and initiatives.

One of the special causes we were proud to support last year was a Christmas dinner for vulnerable and lonely people, held at a local church in Southampton. The event was organised by Jake Radwell, the founder of People’s Pride, an organisation dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. We were honoured to make a cash donation from The Big Eat to help cover the costs of this event.

Last December, we also sponsored a Christmas tree inside the chapel at Royal Victoria Country Park.
