dimensions and tower constructions. During first independence of Latvia there was a post office that operated till 1980ies. In 2004 renovations works were finished and the house was nominated for the best architecture samples in Latvia. Now it is an apartment and office building.

Closed for reconstruction in 2015.In summer cottage that was built in the end of the 19th century, Rainis and Aspazija lived from 1927 till the death of a poet in 1929. In museum there is a personal library, memorial rooms with original interior, as well as documental videos about the life of poets. The museum offers guided excursions, educational programs and demonstration of documental short films in Latvian, Russian and English languages.

The central building of the hotel was built in the beginning of the 20th century as a boarding house with rich woodcarving decorations of windows, planks, cornices, silhouette carvings of planks in the panels of verandas. In this are there is another historical building where a boarding house “Imperial” was located during the first independence of Latvia, but after the World War II a board of Soviet Union resorts was located here. After denationalization houses were sold and new owners built then anew as a result of reconstruction. Since the end of reconstruction in 2004 a hotel “Eiropa” is operating in here.

Built in the beginning of the 20th century in the late art nouveau style as a lodging-house, architect unknown. In the Soviet times, it was a health resort.

In 1936 the building of a concert hall with 690 seats was opened in the new Dzintari concert garden. The au-

thor of the project was V.Mellenberg. Built in 1960, the open - air stage is a famous place for concerting. In 1960 a summer concert hall with 2000 seats was built. The design of metal construction together with the wooden cladding provides perfect acoustics. Specialists have evaluated this place as a unique and in the matters of acoustics as one of the best in the entire Europe. From 2004 to 2006 a reconstruction of concert hall was done – a park was enlarged, the stage and hall - renovated, but the territory - facilitated. A lot of popular musicians have performed here – G.Ginsburg, S.Richter, L.Kogan, D.Ostreich, M.Rastropovich, Kremerata Baltica, Bremen Symphony Orchestra and Latvian National Symphonic Orchestra. Annual jazz and classic music festivals, international humour festival “Jūrmala”, humour show “Singing KiViN”, magnificent ballet festival “Ballet Stars in Jūrmala”, contest of young singers “New Wave” and international music festival “Summertime” have become a tradition of Jūrmala and Dzintari concert hall. After the reconstruction of the closed hall of Dzintari concert hall in 2015 out-of-summer-season concerts are provided here; the concert hall offers an opportunity to organise conferences and other kinds of corporate events.
25. BOTANICAL GARDEN AND SUMMER COTTAGE OF KRISTAPS MORBERGS Dzintaru prospekts 52/54
Built in 1883 – a bright example of neogothic style. The house was owned by one of the most important Latvian contractors, a mecenate K.Morberg, now it belongs to Latvian University. Renovation works of buildings and interion were carried out in 2007 and 2008, layout and greenery of 19th centery was restored.
26. DZINTARI FOREST PARK AND PANORAMIC TOWER
Park offers entertainment seekers of active recreation, as well as restful relaxation. It is a great place of spending time with children, family and friends, a place for sport activities as well as place for just breathing fresh pine trees’ wood air. Park offers playgrounds for different age categories, roller-skating tracks and pedestrian roads, skate park, street ball field, cafés, parking places and WC. It is open all year round.

The first part of hotel was built in 1896, but the auxiliary – in 1924. Initially, the building was a private boarding house where summer residents lived.
