Our issue about water is FLOODING
The UK had some of the worst flooding in 2007 since records began. In Gloucester there was significant disruption, with more than 900 houses and 100 businesses being flooded.
The River Severn
• River that flooded in Gloucester was the River Severn the longest river in the UK – 330km long!
There were bowsers everywhere

Roads were flooded and the fun fair was cancelled
The football ground flooded!
Flood water reached 2 metres in some vulnerable areas
40 million bottles of water were given out
All sorts of transport was used to give out drinking water
Soldiers from the army and the police officers helped give out free bottles of drinking water at supermarkets
