To me, interior design goes beyond what the eye sees within the spaces we create, it is about creating places that are not only functional but also contribute to the user experience and well-being in more ways than just aesthetics. An ideal design should meet the needs of the current/future users, inspire others, and become a place of significance for our communities that will hold memories for years to come.

I have always had an interest and passion for interior architecture and design. Both collegiate and professional experiences during my undergrad have taught me the importance of collaboration/teamwork in the design field while still being able to show your individuality during the design approach and process.

I understand the impact design has on the world and am eager to enter the professional field, where I will ask questions, implement feedback, and work confidently with my design team to contribute to the built environment.

Cappuccini Study Abroad Program

The premise of this project was to restore a former monastery in Urbino, Italy, to create a place that would facilitate interactions between students and professors on campus by meeting the needs of both. Our design was made to balance the existing structure of the historic structure and honor the design of the surrounding campus while working with the site’s topography and existing landscape.

My design to encourage the interaction between students and professors included a multi-functional self service wine bar with space to host pop-up activations and local vendors on level -1, and a cafe on level 0. The self service wine bar is intended to highlight new wine selections from local vineyards weekly, and at the end of each week have a Somolier come to showcase the wine choices of the week to the community.

Gardens At the Arana

A space that blurs the divide between sacred and profane by offering a setting that not only welcomes nature but is informed by it. This project was a one story historical storefront in Downtown San Antonio, transformed into a four story multi-use building. The four stories included, a cafe, wine bar, two stories of office space, and a rooftop cocktail bar, all which have garden spaces integrated within the spaces.

Hill Country Residence

Residential project I had the opportunity to work on during my summer internship with CKC Custom Homes. My role in this project was to attend meetings with the clients and alongside my design team, to help understand the clients desires and needs in areas such as floor finishes, lighting aesthetics, and kitchen/ bathroom design in order to then offer them guidance and design solutions.

The Rand

The Rand is a historical building located in downtown San Antonio that has been redeveloped for many different uses throughout its existence. The goal of this project was to re-imagine the Rand’s interior to create four different functions, with the goal of drawing more people into the downtwon area for work, play, and rest.
