PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT CAPSTONE GROUP PROJECT

Our group was assigned to create a line for Adidas Adaptive Outdoor/Performance Apparel and Accessories for the year 2030. We forecasted that trends would be represented by Ecocentric, Essentialism, and Adaptive Technology product lines.
Our new product lines have incorporated the rising styles and technologies of the future along with a color palette that is inspired by the sights of nature. The obscure relationship between nature and technology is still being navigated. In the past, we’ve thought of it as give and take. As a result of forward-thinking mindsets and changing environments, a new relationship is being created. Adidas Outdoor seeks to pave the emerging path that will keep humans, technology, and nature in balance.

FALL 2021 Product Development III Final Project
Developed a clothing brand concept and designed technical product flats for FALL 2022. Utilizing knowledge gained in hand illustration, rendering, Adobe Illustrator, trend research, and marketing strategies.
Using my knowledge of watersport brands from my 19 year swimming career, I created an elevated athletic brand that is both sport specific, and recreational.
Submerged is a brand for water sport athletes. With a higher price point, quality materials, and sport specific deigns, Submerged fills a gap in the market.
Submerged would be known for the use of ethical manufacturing processes, and fair wages accross their supply chain. The target market for submerged is either a recreational or professional athlete that values the longevity of their casual wear and utitlity gear.

COLLABORATION WITH KELLY THOMPSON
January 2023.
After graduation, I wanted to push myself to create another garment. My friend and former TMFD classmate, Kelly Thompson and I conceptualized, prototyped, and constructed a garment suitable to submit for Omaha Fashion week in under three weeks. This piece shows where our design aesthetics intersect.
Inspired by details from Tory Burch, Mirror Palais, and Claire McCardell. Referenced trends and applied them to the fabrics we had on hand.

Was trusted by my coaches and teammates to represent our program through running and creating content for the official Nebraska swimming and diving Instagram account. Before the athletic department funded a paid position, I understood the importance in a social media presence in regaurds to recruiting and community engagement for our program.
