MAGENDAVIDYESHIVAH SUSANROSENBAUM ECCDIRECTOR

She brings a broad set of skills and a constructivist approach and philosophy to early childhood education. She values the unique age of early childhood and has a deep desire to nurture and guide children, families, and educators. As a lifelong learner, she has been part of the JEP's Project Lead, which supports early childhood directors in deepening practices in their schools. She headed a program focused on intentional language which honors each child as a capable learner with mutual respect and kindness. Susan is the Vice President of the Jewish Early Childhood Association (JECA) which supports teachers and directors and is committed to raising the next generation of Jewish educators by bringing them the highest level of professional development and ongoing education. She has a strong commitment to building relationships and partnering with families so that children can be fostered to reach their fullest potential. Her warm and friendly character paired with her expertise is an exciting addition to our program.

Susan is a master educator who holds a B.A. in Education and an M.S. in Administration and Supervision, with over 20 years of experience as an early childhood director. Most recently, Susan was the director at Westchester Day School and prior to that at Forest Hills Jewish Center. magendavidyeshivahorg

Mrs. Sutton holds a Master’s Degree in special education from Touro College. Mrs. Sutton’s approach to teaching and learning involves focusing on the individual strengths and needs of each child, and using this knowledge to help children maximize their abilities. She believes that children have unlimited potential and by focusing on what motivates a child’s choices and behaviors, we can tap into this vast potential. She is a firm believer that when we focus on a children’s innate goodness and qualities we allow them to see that ability in themselves. Mrs. Sutton is a lifelong learner, committed to improving her craft for the betterment of her students. She regularly attends workshops in the areas of executive functioning, cognitive development and memory enhancement, and building teamwork and collaboration in the classroom. She has had the privilege of studying under Dr. Devorah Samet, noted social skills and behavior instructor and employs her behavioral approach to teaching and learning. Mrs. Sutton has a strong commitment to building relationships within her teaching teams and fostering an environment of collaboration to the benefit of our children. She also is a firm believer in fostering strong relationships with families to empower them help their children succeed.

ECCASSOCIATEDIRECTOR Mrs. Olga Sutton has been a part of the Magen David family for almost 20 years. She began her Magen David career as a classroom teacher, eventually servicing our children as a SEIT teacher, and now joins us as Associate Preschool Director of Early Childhood. magendavidyeshivahorg

Hindy believes that parents are their child's primary educators, and is passionate about empowering them toward this goal via ongoing psychoeducation. She is grateful to join the Early Childhood team, and looks forward to implementing programs that support parents, teachers, and students' social emotional growth and well being.

MAGENDAVIDYESHIVAH HINDYROSS SCHOOLPSYCHOLOGIST

Hindy joins the Magen David family this year with over 15 years of wide ranging experience in the mental health and education fields. As a certified School Psychologist, she holds dual Masters' degrees in Education and Psychology from the CUNY Graduate Center at Queens magendavidyeshivahorg College, and has extensive training in the areas of child development, assessment, and intervention. After 2 years in the public school system, Hindy felt compelled to utilize her skillset within the Jewish community, and moved on to work in varied disciplines including special education, trauma and addiction, parent education, and behavioral intervention. She holds a special place in her heart for preschool-aged children, after directing a Head Start program for 8 years which serviced children with cancer and other chronic illnesses. During this time, she observed the immeasurable benefits a strong social-emotional curriculum can have on every aspect of children's academic and personal success.

Shula Einhorn recently joined the Magen David family. She is an experienced therapist who completed her Master’s degree in Social work at The Silberman School of Social Work-Hunter College. magendavidyeshivahorg

Shula understands that play is the language of children and has been trained in various modalities such as sand-tray, attachment focused, and school based play therapy. She also recently attended the Play Therapy Summer Institute at the University of Northern Texas. There, she was able to learn from experts in the field of play therapy. Shula is also a certified trauma informed cognitive behavioral therapist and has extensive experience providing child and family counseling. She looks forward to utilizing her energy and skill set to support families and help children communicate their needs and recognize their unique strengths.

Carrie is a speech-language pathologist, who currently serves as the language coach at Magen David Yeshivah Early Childhood. She received her Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Brooklyn College, where she magendavidyeshivahorg has been an adjunct lecturer and clinical supervisor since 1998. She has particular expertise in the development of collaborative classroom programs for children with language and learning challenges. Her private practice focuses on assessing and treating children with language based learning disabilities. Additionally, she acts as the senior coordinator for the FastForWord computer based program for language and reading at Adler, Molly, Gurland, Michaels & Shualy. She is eager to work as a language consultant with the early childhood faculty to further enrich the language experiences in the classroom setting.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE

Gali Dabbah is a New York State licensed and ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist. She attended CUNY Brooklyn College, where she obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degree. She also obtained her certification magendavidyeshivahorg as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) and received training in the Orton Gillingham Multisensory Reading Approach. Gali has been working in the field for over ten years, throughout several special education programs, schools, and clinics. She joined the MDY family back in 2012, where she completed her clinical fellowship under the supervision of Carrie Idler, and provided speech and language services to students in the Chehebar Academy program. She also worked closely with teachers to modify the curriculum and differentiate lesson plans based on the students’ needs. She is very excited to join us at the MDY Early Childhood Center this year. Her primary focus is on language development and executive functioning skills. Using the whole child approach, she aims to empower her students by helping them reach their goals and by instilling a love of learning. As a mom of three, she encourages her children to explore the world around them through play and sensory experiences. Gali shares tips, strategies, and multisensory activities that can help to foster language skills, through her social media account, @thesavvyslp. She is also the co-founder of My Activity Kit™ (@my activity kit), where she teamed up with a learning specialist in order CONSULTANT
