Als Ort und Treffpunkt für alle an Architektur Interessierten zeigt das Architekturmuseum der TU München in der Pinakothek der Moderne seit 2002 ein breit gefächertes Programm wechselnder Ausstellungen, das durch Publikationen, fachkundige Führungen, Gesprächsrunden, Vorträge und andere Veranstaltungen ergänzt wird. Architekten und alle Freunde der Architektur finden im Architekturmuseum ein Forum zur Information und zum Austausch von Ideen und Meinungen. Durch die in Deutschland einzigartige Stellung als Hochschulinstitution mit Archiv und Ausstellungsräumen vereint das Architekturmuseum Sammlung, Lehre und Forschung. Die intensive interdisziplinäre Erarbeitung der verschiedenen Themen zielt auf fachlich fundierte Ausstellungen mit hohem Informationsgehalt.
As a location and meeting place for friends of architecture, the Architecture Museum at the TU München, which since 2002 is part of the Pinakothek der Moderne, offers a broad and varied program of temporary exhibitions supplemented by publications, guided tours, discussion forums, lectures and other events. The Architecture Museum is a forum for information and the exchange of ideas and views for all architects and fans of architecture. Due to its unique status as Germany’s only university institution with archives and exhibition rooms, the Architecture Museum unites an architectural gallery with tuition and research. Through intensive interdisciplinary study of the various exhibition topics, the university is able to stage well-researched and highly informative specialist exhibitions.
