CREEK VEAN HOUSE – NORMAN FOSTER & CIE
MAISON DANS L’ENCLOS

An enclosure already existing, includes a house of 140m ² for 4 people. This house is integrated longitudinally and creates a logical connection with the enclosure.

Guided by this alternating wall of storage and empty spaces, it makes the spaces fluid and interesting between the day and night spaces. A space of life rather generous and opened on a seasonal garden.

The covered market on Sunday morning is pleasant and sunny. Transparency and the overhang roof guide you to enter and walk along the patio. This covered market includes living areas with stalls but also relaxation areas: a bar, a terrace, stairs where it is lively to sit down.

It’s an initiation to the design of collective dwellings. The project site gives this longitudinal aspect to the building. This experimentation of different typologies of flats answers to several generations. Moreover the reflection of the vis-à-vis, accessibility: entrance hall, technical service, common space is very important.

The district of the place of Iceland is characterized by the diversity of its inhabitants. It was natural to bring together the different generations; although their lifestyles may be opposed.

This area is more and more important with the conquest by the city of the port of the Rhine; it could become more than a place of passage and host activities or businesses. In addition to the car park for residents, the basement (Ground floor) includes a restaurant, a grocery store, a bistro and spaces for students.

The different typologies of housing corresponding to the number of generations: student studios, flat share of young active people, family houses and co-ownership of seniors, create as Private Street widening in place.

Semester project II Technische Universität München

Atelier Die Grund Elemente, Prof. Conen Sigl and Prof. Fink

This Studio explains the bases of the architecture and having as reference a space created by known architect. The Indiana Avenue Houses by Franck Gehry, is the reference. The important elements of this artsit’s flat are the atmosphere, the materials. For this project I tried to transcribed/transcript it in the Gehry's House. This complex concept has given place to three buildings which defeat the rules of order.

These buildings are distinguished by the materiality: slate, wood, metal, the shape and the interior spaces.

KONZEPT

This project takes place between two different areas: residential and manufacturing area. Therefore to respond to this two parts, its important to analyzed the needs of the population in this new area. In order to create a porosity area with different functions the concept was conceived with a special grid. There is a quite conventional area with a block type and a big infrastructure. This grid determinates the size of each function block: flats, offices, workshops and shops. And each block is changing instead of the surroundings. Moreover the heights of buildings create a new skyline with those few towers. Also the big infrastructure breaks completely the grid. This block is thought as a conventional block but with different functions and that creates an innovative center.

MASTERPLAN

The figure of this project are quite homogeneous and we can see a dense area with open green spaces because of the grid. Also the Kühlhaus part is re-used and connected to this big innovative center. It’s composed by offices, labo space, exhibition space, covered market, club underground and also a basketball court on the roof. This new area could be the new headquarter to workers, students or families. However the density, there is open space in the block where it’s pleasant to stay.

During a first internship in a landscape office, I had the opportunity to attend work meetings. In this way, I acquired knowledge, learnt about several projects and produced graphic documents.

The creation of a plan textured mass of a center water and territory in Villers Ecalles in Normandy.

A site made in two parts: the first is arranged with a renovated mansion and the second remains in the wild.
