InSummer2020,Hill wascommunicatingwith someonehebelievedwas a14-year-oldfemalewho wasanundercoveragencywiththeFBIChild ExploitationandHuman Traf ckingTaskForcein Jacksonville,FL.Of cials saythecommunication wassexualinnature.
FBIBirmingham’sChild ExploitationandHuman Traf ckingTaskForceexecutedasearchwarrantat Hill’shome. Hilladmittedtoauthoritiesthathewasattracted toteenagegirlsbuthedeniedthatheparticipatedin onlinegroupsdedicatedto sendingchildsexualabuse materialorhaddownloadedanyofthatmaterial. Aninvestigationinto HillrevealedthatHilldistributedchildpornographyonlineandadvertised thematerialinasocial mediagroupof50people. Over250videosand700 imagesofchildsexabuse materialwerefoundon Hill’selectronicdevices. Hillpleadedguiltyto distributingchildpornography,advertisingchild pornographyandpossessingchildpornography.

LivingontheChaneyPlaceWhereWeLived BerniceElkinsChaney,whowas85 yearsoldwheninterviewedin2006,said sherememberedtheM.G.Chaneyproperty“fromwhenIwasaround18years old.”WhensheandFrankChaneymarried,theybeganmarriedlifelivinginone ofthetenanthousesclosetotheM.G. Chaneyhouse.Shesaid:“UncleMabren andAuntBertielivedinthebighouse. Whenwelivedontheirplace,I’dgocook forthem.AuntBertielovedmyeggcustard.Theyhadsomebodycometodotheir washing.UncleMabrenlovedtoplaydominoes.”Bernicesaidthebigstuccohouse facedsouthandwasnotfarfromtheroad. Theroadwasdirt,anditconnectedtoOld MadisonPike,whichwastheoldroadto Madisonbeforethefour-lanewasbuilt. Thebarnwasbehindthehouse,somewhat,tothenorthwest.M.G.alsoowned landonthenorthsideoftheroad.Itwas notpartoftheArmyacquisition. ThelandforElkoSchool(A-18)was donatedbyM.G.Chaney.Berniceattendedtheschooluntilitsconsolidationwith MadisonHighSchool.ThefollowingdescriptionwasfoundintheHeritageRoom attheMadisonCountyLibrary.The authorwassimplylistedas“Dilworth, Draft”andhadnodate.Inthelate1930’s, ChaneySchoolwasconsolidatedwith MadisonHighSchool.ChaneywaslocatedintheChaneycommunityjustsouth ofOldMadisonPikenearElkoSwitch. In1926,Mr.M.G.Chaneydonatedhis landforaschool.Thebuildingwasatworoomframeconstructionheatedbytwo bigheaters redwithcoal.Therooms werefurnishedwithmodernwooddesks andatableforateacher’sdesk.Outside restroomswereused.Thereweretwo teachersforthe rstsixgrades.Inearly1940,Mr.Chaneysoldhisfarmtothe government,andthecountyboardsold theChaneySchoolbuilding.Someof theChaneyteachersincludedMr.Addie Hinds,MissMattieBellChaney,MissLeotraEsslinger,Mr.CecilTeal,Mr.A.S. HodgesandMr.LouieMorris.
