In an effort to increase the safety of all those who use the roadways in this area, here are some safe driving tips.

1 Dim your headlamps when you meet a horse and buggy at night. As you might expect the horses have difficulty when they have to stare into bright headlights.

There are many small Amish businesses in the south east part of Green Lake County, as well as businesses supporting the Amish heritage. The Markesan and Kingston/Dalton Historical Societies can provide visitors with in-depth information on where these
settlers came from, their traditions and customs and how they have integrated into their neighboring communities, as well as what trades they are known for (woodworking, baking, cheese making, greenhouses to name a few).
