BIKE TRAILS Elroy is the hub of the three major bike trails in Juneau County. The Omaha Trail is a 12.5 mile trail from Elroy to Camp Douglas along the old Chicago & Northwestern railbed. The Elroy-Sparta Trail heads west and north to Sparta along 32 miles of hard-packed, limestone trail. The trail features three tunnels along its route. The ‘400’ Trail heads east out of Elroy following the Baraboo River to Reedsburg, some 22 miles away. At Union Center, the ‘400’ Trail branches off as the Hillsboro State Trail. Elroy is located on Hwys 71, 80 & 82 in southwestern Juneau County. Information on the trails can be found by calling the Commons Trails Shop at 608-462-2410.
