Uniting through a shared passion to create enduring and sustainable pieces, Morgen and Sandford sees the coming together of furniture designers and makers, Nick McDonald and Charles Sandford. Their respective backgrounds leverage multiple decades of honed industry experience, crafting both their own and commissioned works. The joining of forces comes as a natural progression for both, aligning shared philosophies of simplicity.

Having established his own furniture label Made by Morgen, Nick McDonald brings a matched refined and rigorous approach. Both through his own handmade pieces and experience collaborating with other designers, his focus centres on timelessness. His work captures an industrious background and rural upbringing, where continual exploration and experimentation inevitably led to a profession of building and creating with his hands.
Bringing his own pragmatism, Charlie bolsters years of experience and collaborative partnerships. With an overarching emphasis on traditional skills and using of state-of-the-art equipment, his work celebrates efficiency and quality. Producing custom pieces for leading designers and architects, he was the ideal pairing for expanded production capabilities. Capable of larger-scale production, his workshop is the vehicle to help fill a growing gap in the market for locally made furniture within Australia.
