UFO emits more Lumens output than a 400W or 600W HID, but to state that the Illuminator UFO emits the same amount of absorbable light as a 400W HID and it is this ability to only emit key absorbable light that your plants are able to use that makes it possible to achieve the parity results with an HID at just a fraction of the wattage. Lumens output is not a key factor in determining plant growth, it is the ability of the plants to absorb and transform the light energy into photosynthesis and which wavelengths are to be used to achieve those key absorption points. Lumens are a common measure of output that is used to measure the intensity of HID Lighting, but really has no direct bearing on determining plant growth. Remember that over 85% of the light emitted from an HID Light is waisted in the form of non-absorbable light waves as well as heat energy. 4. I grow mmj in ca so I'm used to the best, the herb quality is top notch besides that things I don't like is the footprint that ps claims are small and still exaggerated And light penetration is weak, which is why you should use scrog even with scrog my 90w led did not perform close to a 400w hps as advertised which is why I Gave it such a low rating, reall the money saved can be made up in weight difference with mmj I will be upgrading still because hid's are for serious growers and serious growing is stress full but I we review the 350w'er and am excited... 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful: May 24, 2010 Excellent product and service Reviewer: gav from Japan I was a little dubious of purchasing this product, due to the average rating of 5 (seemed too good to be true), but here I am after 2 months also giving it full marks. I am growing cherry tomatoes, coriander, basil, rosemary, chillies and parsley in a 1m x 1m x 2m grow tent. The plants grow very quickly in both vegetative and fruiting stages. I have as many tomatoes as I can eat - herbs were ready in the second week. The only thing that could improve this product is to avoid using fans, which apparently they are looking into. The three small fans however, are quiet (30-35 dBa) which most people wouldn't even notice. All email enquiries were answered quickly, friendly and informatively - especially important when ordering from overseas. After sales service has been excellent. I am very happy with my UFO 90w and would highly recommend this LED light and Prosource.

These things are blowing away not only other SUB STANDARD UFO's, but my old hps as well. I can't say enough good about them. I hype em so much that I think people may suspected me for a salesman...LoL.. More and more people are asking me about these specific LED's though, so I'm getting the word out.
