Personal Statement
My main interest in architecture is about creating spaces which are environmentally and socially responsible while enabling human interaction and playful exploration. I enjoy looking into how various design decisions in architecture and spatial design have an influence on human sensory experiences, such as sound, smell or touch.
I am excited to learn both new practical, hands-on and technical skills, as I have a great interest in the relationship between human experience and space, particularly in relation to performance, and enjoy working physically.

The
Statement
Queer club spaces have always been pushed to the margins of larger cities, and as the peripheries of London continue moving outwards due to regeneration, these spaces start to disappear.
The project aims to prevent further redevelopments of industrial zones into residential estates by creating ephemeral, modular interventions, which are relocated around the site at 28-day intervals, therefore permanently occupying the whole site. Part of the design is the celebratory protest parade of the construction, move and deconstruction of the different interventions around the industrial area.
The exemplar intervention is located near Lea Bridge Station in Waltham Forest, a former rave venue and industrial estate, now overshadowed by luxury flats. The key spaces remain in every different structure’s design - the dance space and club nights attracts members of the general public amongst the queer community, the living quarter offers space for constant occupation for the squatters, and the communal areas make it possible for volunteers and participants to plan the next steps for the intervention.

The Hard Rock Cafe by Flimsy Works [Personal Project]

Since September 2024 I have been volunteering with Global Generation on the Triangle Site’, learning to use natural and reclaimed materials to build structures to house programmes in their new permanent community garden. The techniques I have learnt include cob construction, straw insulation, wooden shingle making for cladding and willow weaving for wattle and daub walls. The project was designed and led by architect Jan Kattein, however, the garden is a co-creation with the local community. These sessions have allowed me to utilise my hands-on fabrication and construction skills which I have gained through my undergraduate studies, and translate them into existing projects.
I have been a part of youngwilers’ community since 2024, who is a youth-led organisation with a mission to accelerate nature recovery in the UK. Together with Flimsy Works, they designed and constructed an outdoor kitchen, The Hard Rock Cafe, for the Knepp Wildland Foundation to support a new campsite with the focus of youth engagement at the Knepp Estate. was part of a small volunteer team building the triangular-framed structure, which now serves as communal kitchen with a herb garden on the rocky platforms. All timber used were reclaimed from a film industry with the help of ReCollecive, designed to minimised waste and cutting time.

was given the opportunity to work on technical details for the installation of new acoustic panelling treatment. Discussions with sound engineers have also given me insight into how sound travels in architectural spaces and ways of how it can be controlled for better experience for visitors.

I joined the team of DaeWha Kang Design in October 2024 and had collaboratively worked on redesigning the V&A’s Fashion Gallery alongside working on different projects.
My tasks involved setting up and drawing existing and proposed plans, sections and elevations, while also drawing technical details, diagrammatic illustrations, and conducting research. I also had great involvement in the three-dimensional physical and digital model-making visualisation. Additionally, I attended client meetings which further developed my presentation and communication skills.

Wind farm developments, ship noises, and seismic surveys conducted for oil and gas exploration are all contributing to the disruption of marine life communication. The installation of acoustic bubble curtains has proven to help dampen the volume of anthropogenic noise. Utilising this technology, noises originating due to man-made processes can be reduced by 95% by blowing a wall of air bubbles underwater using perforated pipes.
To power the curtain, the Wind Catcher’s building design proposes two methods by which the prevailing winds can be harnessed. The wind tunnels capture, funnel and speed up the prevailing winds to direct the maximised airflow into inflatable balloon structures where the air can be stored and let out. The rotatable wind catchers harness winds from more directions and help generating power from the captured air. These wind catchers also act as the ventilation system for the building.
The building design utilises these technologies to generate the bubble curtain which creates a protected area around the northernmost peninsula in Skagen, Denmark, therefore attracting seals and other marine mammals.
To study and learn more about the animals hearing and health, the building programme is split into two parts. The underground research facility allows scientists to conduct their studies, while the visitor centre on the upper level welcomes visitors and provides exhibition spaces to teach about underwater noise pollution. The space also enables guests to interact with the building and offers a new perspective on experiencing wind and air.

XRDS Festival [Personal Project]

I have been volunteering with the build and pack down of the Playbody parties since 2024. Playbody’s day parties rely on their tight-knit community, where everyone is able to express themselves to the fullest. In 2025 helped with their V&A Storehouse performance, which was the first event organised in the newly opened storehouse museum.
Spending a month working alongside Stan Vrebos in the summer of 2025, I had the opportunity to help XRDS festival’s stages come to live in Brussels. I had the responsibility of leading the build of one of the three main stages, Outskirts, at the festival, working in small teams of volunteers assembling scaffolding and doka beams to create beautiful ephemeral structures, designed by Stan Vrebos.

In April 2025 I volunteered with Horst to help build one of their biggest stages for the festival with over 3000 capacity. The ‘Dark Skies’ stage was designed by Leopold Banchini and Giona Bierens De Haan, curated by DVS1. My tasks involved working with woodworking machines collaboratively in a team, to construct the 1000 sqm roof structure that provides an equal experience for the revellers.
