What is your fondest memory of 2021? Think about it right now; don’t allow your inner critic to get in the way. Seriously. What has made your year? What do you know now that you did not know in January?

We took some time to think about these questions and one thing that stuck out for us in terms of our community at Macro is our resilience. 2021 has represented a “return” in many ways – to a new normal, new routine, new skills, new beginnings – and a resilience that has never wavered.

With that, we thought to make some new traditions – and the “Macro Yearbook” came to life.

In the process of collecting material to put this delivery together, we reviewed dozens of images from 2021 alone and we want to tell you: You’re so talented. You’re so funny, and you’re sometimes silly and make mistakes. You’re passionate, and you care, and you work so hard. You are interesting, and interested in what makes those around you great, too.

We see you. We hear you. We acknowledge you.

At Macro, we thrive on connecting, listening, and leading. Being who you are is what we love about you and why we love working with you.

Perhaps part of being resilient is not only embracing but appreciating where we are, not only at work, but in our personal journeys as well. None of us have perfect days, but we sure don’t give up on the possibility of having them either. Without change, we don’t grow, and this year we’ve grown so much. ANTHEM TEAM - what a journey its been this year! We always joke about project management being a lot like herding cats but most days thats exactly the key to our collective success with our partners at Anthem! Brianna King, Jen Anduha, Hudson Grieve, Sarah Alim, Belinda Ly, Liat Nikolayevsky, Ian Lee, Matthew Preston, Michael Kuzmuk, Alicia Cargo, Laura Schueren, Geoff Devlin, Meghan Crumble, Finance Team (for keeping us internally organized), Ben Rubin – cheers to you all for keeping the Anthem engine humming!

DCG TEAM – the word of the year is….SURPRISE! Just when we thought we had a good handle on things, it was time to take a hard right turn. Jason, Jess, Ben you have handled all the white knuckled right hand turns with grace, know-how, and humility. Keep fighting the good fight friends, a ton of respect to each of you.

SPRING HILLS TEAM – if they knew how to do this, we wouldn’t have a job!

Glen & Khody – the most powerful storms have clearly formed ‘calm eyes’. You two have formed a fantastic partnership to help keep our client’s focus on the finish line. Keep it up! High five to Renard for his service up to the hand off!

FOXY DEVELOPMENT TEAM – one of the best examples of ‘trusted advisor’ in our portfolio of projects. You have earned the client’s trust time and again, with one amazing building behind us, you have rolled up your sleeves and put on your hard hats to get the next building out of the ground. Providing senior affordable housing in the Bronx. Hats off to you!

GENESCO TEAM – you have ridden the roller coaster all the way to the precipice of the finish line. What a wily client this one has turned out to be!

You have kept your eyes on the prize so the client does the same. Keep leading by example Geoff and Meghan!

DEI CORE TEAM – it is an absolute honor to be with you on this journey, we’ve got a lot of work to do. With a group this dedicated and talented, there is no doubt that we will execute our collective vision and make our corner of the world more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. I am in awe of your collective spirit.

CONTROL ROOM TEAM – Your hard work and diligence has given our organization a HUGE differentiator.
