OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCHOOLS IN 2017 @ DANCE WORKSHOPS AT YOUR SCHOOL Wed 18 Jan, Wed 25 Jan, Wed 1 Feb or Wed 8 Feb 2017 - at a time to suit you Dance Artist and Choreographer Giulia Montalbano is available to visit your school and run taster dance workshops. She’ll be exploring the themes of discipline and strength. The workshops can be tailored for beginners or those with some dance experience. Cost: Free Running Time: 60 – 90 mins per workshop [you can request multiple workshops] Age Recommendation: 11+

FISK {FISH}

Thu 26 Jan, 7.30pm Weaving together a rich tapestry of puppetry, movement and intricate design, alongside an evocative original soundtrack, the piece draws audiences into an immersive marine world. Examining themes of depression, dependence and desolation. Fisk is an exploration of the lengths we can go to in order to escape from ourselves, yet also finds joy in even the deepest and darkest depths. Ross will work with your students to create their own immersive worlds and explore the themes of Fisk. TEACHER CPD (Stirling’s Creative Organisations Working in Partnership)

Tue 14 Feb Come and find out more about Stirling’s Creative Organisations Working in Partnership as we take you on a tour of some of the venues in the group – sharing with you an insight into the services and resources that we offer. Venues will include Artlink Central, Bannockburn Heritage Centre, Macrobert Arts Centre, the Smith Art Gallery and Museum and the University of Stirling Art Collection. We’re working together to support and enhance participation in a wide range of cultural and creative learning activities both in and out of schools - developing and supporting imaginative projects, programmes and activities in collaboration with schools, creative practitioners and local and national arts organisations. We also offer advice, mentoring, work experience and support emerging artists. We also attract funds and projects to the area and offer a wide range of equipment, resources and expertise.
