Mission of the Month: Church World Service Blankets
For over 75 years, Church World Service has been helping people of faith bring God’s hope and healing to people in the U.S. and around the world. When difficult times happen, a kind and loving response can make all the difference. That’s why the CWS Blankets program was created to give a kind, loving and tangible response to someone facing a difficult time, reminding them that they are not alone.

Campaign for Kindness: Do Unto Others

There’s a phrase, commonly known as The Golden Rule, that simply states: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matt 7:12) This universal rule holds the power to bring people together
Do Unto Others is a grassroots movement launched by Resurrection United Methodist Church (Adam Hamilton is the pastor) in the Kansas City area, to encourage people to be intentional about treating one another with kindness, even those with whom we disagree A vote for kindness is a step toward overcoming the polarization in our country through civility and respect

Pro-Life and Pro-Choice
Christian Views of Abortion
A Conversation
Today at Immanuel Lutheran Student Center of Macomb (303 N Clay) will host a conversation about pro-life and pro-choice Christian perspectives on abortion at 3pm Rev Chris Hull of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Dr Amy Carr of Trinity Lutheran Church will offer opening remarks, followed by Q&A and an opportunity for further conversation and fellowship. We hope to deepen understanding of diverse Christian perspectives about abortion, and have an opportunity to talk together about a difficult topic. Jane Coplan will facilitate our conversation. Everyone is welcome.
