“English Matters for Jamaica: Grade 9 Student’s Book addresses the needs of students at that grade level as well as the requirements of the National Standards Curriculum in a methodical and precise manner. I believe teachers will be very satisfied with the text as it incorporates a number of strategies that effective educators employ in their pedagogy: clear explanations and instructions, annotated samples, checklists and a wealth of supporting resources. The text takes an encyclopaedic approach, which will make all three books important reference texts for students and teachers. Consequently, the book will be easy to use in the classroom and at home. The material flows well and follows the syllabus precisely.”

Advisors were Caprece McLeary and Tenesha Gordon.
