AnEODspecialistneedstotakethebackpackoffwhileaddressing a suspiciouspackageto avoidconnectivityrisks, buttheantennasneed tostandverticallytotransmitthesignal.Thisposedaproblem,sothe unitcontacted Johnston.
JohnstonconnectedEODtoathree-manteamfromUSFtodevelop aportableattachmenttothebagthey callthe VerticalStabilization Systemallowingittobetakenoffandstooduprightwhileasuspicious packageisbeingworked on.
TheteamhasbeenworkingwithEODonasolutionsinceAugust, andtheirproductcouldimpactservicemembersthroughout theDoD.
ThispartnershipisoneofmanythattheBoltCell wantstoestablish to developinnovation. Johnstonstressed thatthe BoltCell willdrop what theyâre doing for an Airman that comes to their office looking for a solutiontotheirunitâs problems.
