We source furniture, fabrics, and all other design materials directly from manufacturers we love and trust. However, what makes us really special and unique is our ability to offer proprietary brand and private label collections through Mable Originals. In addition, we scour the world through regional markets such as High Point, Round Top, NY D&D Building, international buying experiences, and more to find one-of-a-kind, curated vintage furniture, artifacts, objects d'art, and more.
Our Team
Owner and Creative Director Leslie Murphy founded Murphy Maude Interiors in 2016 out of a desire to bring artful interior design to the Mid-South. With an eye toward lush, elegant interiors, Leslieʼs bold point of view continually moves the mark of what interior design can be in the modern world.
Affectionately known as the “Maude Squad,” our team of creative professionals use art to create a sensory connection between the natural world and the built environment. We bring together all areas of design through in-house expertise and strategic partnerships to provide a fully curated, one-of-a-kind experience. Working collaboratively across disciplines, MMI is infused with an artistic spirit that takes our work beyond what is typical in the Mid-South.

The Kick Of f Meeting is your introduction to the Maude Squad! If we are not coordinating the architectural drawings through one of our par tner s, then this is a great time for us to secure your drawings (for a new build).
We can also measure your space (if renovating) to secure the needed as-built drawings at this time, including any walls or windows that need special treatment.
F inally we review project goals, budgets, and set the date for the Milestone 1 Meeting!
At the Milestone 1 Meeting we deliver and review inspiration images to provide a sense of materiality and conceptual design in order to ensure the MMI vision and priorities are in alignment with expectations. We also show findings/recommendations of the overall plan review.
F inally, we review initial spatial plans showing general furniture locations and any associated floor electrical boxes (or other architecturally impactful elements).
The Milestone 2 Meeting occur s about 3 weeks af ter Milestone 1. We deliver stunning 3D renderings of key rooms and video walkthroughs of areas that may need special attention. This is a big meeting as we will review a ton of information which will be needed to keep your construction on track!
· Floor Plans and Interior Elevations

· Cabinets and impor tant visual elements (if appliances are provided by client in advance)
· Flooring material thicknesses (tile vs. wood for slab depressions)
· Plumbing locations
· Recessed pockets for window treatments
· Built-ins and/or fireplace details
· Ceiling details
· Floor s outlets and specific electrical considerations
At Milestone 3 Meeting we will deep dive into material selections and review a draf t of your interior design documents aka “construction intent documents ”
We deliver complete material specifications including:
· Plumbing fixtures
· Door style and hardware
· Counter top selections
· F ireplace finishes
· Flooring (tile, stone, hardwood, and carpet) selections
· Stair railing design inspiration image
· Trim and molding details
· Cabinet plans
· Wallcovering plan
· Reflective ceiling details and switching
· Exterior paint and finish selections (if contracted)
· And more!
Milestone 4 is your Pre-construction Meeting. This is the meeting memorializing the “grand finale” presentation that happened at Milestone 3. We will deliver final Construction Intent Drawings and present to both you and your contractor.
This is your road map for ward. These documents are of ten 15 or more pages long!
