The Marbella 4Days Walking team, consisting of around 65 volunteers during this year’s event, welcomes you to the thirteenth edition of the biggest walking event in Spain: Marbella 4Days Walking!

You will enjoy all the beauty that Marbella has to offer. The routes will take you to places tourists usually don’t get to see. After the daily walk, it is time for Marbella 4Days Fiesta. Everyone who walked along, their family, friends, and locals will dance & party until to live music from a wide range of artists and DJs. Replenish your energy with tasty food and cold drinks from various stands on the Plaza.

We also invite you to explore the city of Marbella, its culture and its gastronomy. If you have a few extra days, check out the wider region— after reading this guide, you’ll see why we love living here and want to share that with you.

Todo el equipo de Marbella 4Days Walking, que son casi 65 voluntarios durante el evento de este año, te da la bienvenida a la duodécima edición de Marbella 4Days Walking.

Estos días disfrutarás de toda la belleza que Marbella ofrece, las rutas te llevarán por lugares donde los turistas normalmente no llegan. Después de la caminata es hora para Marbella 4Days Fiesta con todos los que caminaron, familiares y amigos. Baila hasta la tarde al ritmo de la música en vivo, con una amplia gama de artistas y DJs y repón energías con buena comida y bebidas refrescantes en varios puestos de la plaza.

También te invitamos a descubrir la ciudad, su cultura y su gastronomía. Y si tienes unos días más: ve y explora la provincia de Málaga u otras partes de Andalucía. Entonces comprenderás porqué nos encanta vivir aquí y porqué nos hace ilusión compartir todo esto contigo durante estos cuatro días.

Het team van Marbella 4Days Walking, en dat zijn dit jaar rond de 65 vrijwilligers, heet je van harte welkom bij deze dertiende editie van het grootste wandel evenement van Spanje: de Marbella vierdaagse.

Je gaat deze dagen genieten van al het moois dat Marbella te bieden heeft, de routes voeren je langs plekken waar toeristen normaal gesproken niet zo snel komen. Na de wandeling is het tijd voor Marbella 4Days Fiesta. Dans tot vroeg in de avond met iedereen die meegewandeld heeft, familie en vrienden op live muziek van een uitgebreid aanbod aan artiesten en

DJ´s en vul je energie aan met lekker eten en verfrissende drankjes van verschillende stands op het plein.

We nodigen je ook uit de stad, de cultuur en de gastronomie te ontdekken. En als je nog wat extra dagen hebt: ga vooral de verdere omgeving verkennen. Dan zul je begrijpen waarom wij hier graag wonen/ leven en dit alles graag met jullie willen delen tijdens deze vier dagen.

We wensen je heel veel wandel- en fiesta plezier! En vergeet niet… “Less Siesta, more Fiesta!”.

EN FOUNDERS

Hans Wohl came up with the idea of organising a four-day walking event in Marbella. At seventy years old, he decided it was time to retire and finally participate in the Nijmegen Four Days Marches: The Walk of the World.

Hans went to the Town Hall with a DVD of the Nijmegen Four Days Marches in hand, intending to give them an idea.

The Town Hall liked the idea, however said he had to organise this event

himself because they had no budget for it. In 2011, founders Hans and his wife Clarie took the plunge and started working with a small team. For the first edition of M4DW 658 walkers came to Marbella. Since then, the number of participants has only grown, and every year we invest in innovations to make this event even greater and better.

After 10 years, Hans and Clarie decided to retire and, in 2022, left the reigns to Arabella M. Wessels.

La idea de organizar un evento de cuatro días de senderismo en Marbella viene de Hans Wohl. A la edad de setenta años decidió que era hora de jubilarse y por fin participar en las Marchas de los Cuatro Días de Nijmegen en Holanda.

Hans fue al Ayuntamiento con un DVD de las Marchas de los Cuatro Días de Nijmegen en la mano. El plan era simplemente darles una idea…

Sin embargo, el Ayuntamiento le dijo que él mismo tenía que organizar este evento porque ellos carecían de presupuesto. En 2011, fundadores Hans y Clarie dieron el paso y comenzaron a trabajar con un pequeño equipo. 658 caminantes acudieron a Marbella para la primera edición de M4DW. Desde entonces, el número de participantes no ha hecho más que crecer y cada año se invierte en innovaciones que hacen que el evento sea más seguro y divertido.

Después de 10 años, Hans y Clarie decidieron que ahora realmente se iban a jubilar. Dejaron la organización en manos de Arabella M. Wessels en el año 2022.

Het idee om een vierdaagse in Marbella te organiseren komt van Hans Wohl. Op zijn zeventigste besloot hij dat het tijd was om met pensioen te gaan en eindelijk een keer aan de vierdaagse van Nijmegen mee te doen. The Walk of the World!

Met een dvd van de Nijmeegse vierdaagse in de hand ging Hans naar de gemeente. Het plan was hen simpelweg een idee aan te reiken…

De gemeente vond het een fantastisch idee, maar zei echter dat hij dit evenement zelf moest gaan organiseren want er was geen budget. In 2011 hebben oprichters Hans en Clarie toen de stoute schoenen aangetrokken en gingen zij aan de slag samen met een klein team. Er kwamen 658 wandelaars naar Marbella voor de eerste editie van M4DW. Sindsdien is het deelnemersaantal alleen maar verder gegroeid en wordt er elk jaar geïnvesteerd in vernieuwingen die het evenement verbeteren, veiliger en nog leuker maken.

Na 10 jaar besloten Hans en Clarie écht met pensioen te gaan. Ze droegen in 2021 het stokje over aan Arabella M. Wessels.

Como alcaldesa de Marbella, os doy mi más sincera bienvenida a nuestra ciudad en una nueva edición de ‘Marbella 4 Días Caminado’, que se ha convertido, sin lugar a dudas, en uno de los principales referentes deportivos, medioambientales y turísticos de nuestro municipio. Estoy convencida de que esta maravillosa iniciativa, que cumple su duodécima edición, volverá a deleitarnos con esos rincones tan emblemáticos de la localidad. Gracias, un año más, por vuestra entrega y vuestro compromiso.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

ONLINE REGISTRATION

You can register online at www.marbella4dayswalking.com.

You will receive your participant number by email. Take this proof of registration, either printed or on your mobile phone, to the registration stand. There, you will receive your participation ticket as a wristband with an electronic chip.

OFFLINE REGISTRATION

If the maximum number of 3000 participants has not been reached, you can still register in the registration tent on Wednesday between 10 and 16 hrs. From Thursday to Sunday, you can register between 8 and 16 hrs. Keep the starting times in mind if you want to walk on the same day. The price for offline registration is higher than the price for online registration.

1, 2, 3, OR 4 DAYS

When you register, you determine how many days you walk. Only the participants who walk 4 days and finish on time every day (before 16 hrs!) will receive a medal on Sunday.

DISTANCES

When you register, choose the distance you want to walk: 10, 20 or 30 kilometres. Do you want to change your distance during the event? That is possible, but please do change this in the registration tent. For safety reasons, we need to know how many people are walking on the different routes.

• Start 30 km: 08.00 - 09.00 hrs

• Start 20 km: 09.00 - 10.00 hrs

• Finish closes at 16.00 hrs, NO EXCEPTIONS!

SIGNAGE

All routes are marked with easily recognizable M4DW signs featuring coloured arrows.

• 10 km: yellow

• 20 km: green

• 30 km: blue

• Challenge: orange

The M4DW App shows you the route you will walk daily and where you are exactly on this route.

CHECKPOINTS

Along the route, you will pass through checkpoints where your wristband will be scanned. The 10 km route has one checkpoint, the 20 km route has two, and the 30 km route has three. At each checkpoint, one bottle of water per participant will be provided, and toilets are available.

Closing times checkpoints:

• Checkpoint 1 (10, 20, 30 km & Challenge Routes): 13 hrs

• Checkpoint 2 (20 & 30 km): 15 hrs

• Checkpoint 3 (30 km): 14.30 hrs

M4DW APP

On the Marbella 4Days Walking App, you can see the route you walk every day. Your friends and family anywhere in the world can follow you, too. All the latest news about the event is found here. You can immediately contact the organisation via the emergency button and indicate your location.

FOOD & DRINKS

Always bring a bottle of water and a snack for the road. At various points on the route, we always have one or more stands where you can buy food and drinks. You can also recharge your batteries at multiple bars and restaurants.

SAFETY ON THE ROAD

Two Safety & Support teams are on the road daily to assist walkers where necessary.

Ambulance

In addition, there is an ambulance on the route and one on standby at the Walking Village (Plaza del Mar).

INSURANCE

Make sure your insurance covers medical assistance. In principle, the ambulance will take you to a public hospital. If you have private insurance, you can check in advance if your policy and insurance cover private hospitals.

Traffic

If you are walking on public roads with traffic, please stay on the sidewalk or walk on the side facing oncoming traffic (so they can see you, and you can see them). Use zebra crossings and traffic lights, and please stick to the designated routes. At difficult crossings, the police will be present to assist. Always follow their instructions, as well as those from M4DW volunteers!

ASSISTANCE & AMBULANCE

On the Plaza del Mar, there is a tent for care and physio treatments and an ambulance. If you need medical

assistance, the ambulance will take you to a nearby hospital.

ENVIRONMENT

At all checkpoints, there are bins for regular waste and plastic recycling. In addition, you can dispose of your trash in containers in residential areas and on the streets. The yellow containers are for plastic, the blue for paper, the green for glass, and the grey for residual waste.

Smoking

Please take smoking breaks only in areas with ashtrays. Disposing of cigarette butts in nature can result in heavy fines, not only because it is litter, but also due to the fire hazard. Smoking in the Walking Village is discouraged, but if you must, please avoid smoking on the dance floor.

Urinating in public

According to local regulations, urinating in public areas or nature is prohibited. There are toilets at the checkpoints, and in Spain, you are also allowed to use the restroom without consumption, although bar owners would prefer that you enjoy a drink on their terrace. Giving a small donation helps, too.

Take note!

A walker seen by someone from the organisation or another participant disposing of waste on the street or in nature will be banned from participating in the event, and coming events.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION EN

VIA GLADIOLO

On Sunday, before you finish, you will pass the arch of Via Gladiolo. The gladiolus is the Roman symbol of victory: you made it! Friends, family and the M4DW volunteers welcome you there with gladiolus. From there it’s just a little stroll to the finish, where you will receive a medal when you’ve completed all four days!

CHARITY

The organisation of Marbella 4Days Walking collaborates with CUDECA. There will be a particular Cudeca Charity Expo stand on Wednesday and Sunday. For more information, see their ad in this guide.

WHAT TO WEAR

Wear suitable socks and shoes and consider various weather conditions, including rain. Layers always work best. A hat or cap is not excessive; please do not forget to apply sunscreen! The sun radiation is quite powerful, even in the shade.

(semi) Nude only on the beach

We expect you to be dressed appropriately on terraces, squares and streets, on the routes and at our Walking Village. The police can issue significant fines for not wearing a shirt or top unless you are on the beach.

THE WRISTBANDS

This year, payment wristbands will make everything more efficient. What are they? A modern system for walkers and partygoers. We also use wristbands for all payments in the Walking Village. Black wristbands will be used for all payments in the Walking Village. Cash, credit, and debit cards will not be accepted for purchasing merchandise, food, or drinks.

WALKING

The colour of your wristband indicates the distance of your walking route. The chip in this wristband is scanned at the start, checkpoints and finish. These scanners will only read the chip for walking, not the saldo of your payment wristband.

• Yellow: 10 kilometres, 4 days

• Green: 20 kilometres, 4 days

• Blue: 30 kilometres, 4 days

• Orange: Challenge Routes, 2 days

• Red: all distances, 1 day.

THE WRISTBANDS EN PAYING IN THE WALKING VILLAGE

Fast & Easy

Paying for your drinks, food, and M4DW products at the Walking & Fiesta Village on the Plaza del Mar is contactless, safe, easy, and fast. You can pay during the day and the evening with the Bracelit chip in your special BLACK wristband, which you can pick up at the ‘payment wristbands’ tent. You can link this wristband to your account with the Bracelit App or activate it at the Payment Wristband desk at the Plaza del Mar (Walking Village).

How does it work?

• The chip in your payment wristband is linked to a secure payment app, where you can create a personal account with login codes.

• You can connect your debit or credit card or put an amount from your bank account on your wristband.

• OR you have your balance topped up with your debit, credit card or cash at the payment wristband desk.

• To pay, we will scan your wristband, and the amount you approved will be automatically debited.

• In your account, you can see precisely how much you have spent where and when in real-time.

• Please note that the scanners can only read the payment chip on the wristband and cannot accept any other form of payment.

Puedes registrarte en www.marbella4dayswalking.com.

Recibirás tu número de participante por correo electrónico, llévalo contigo en papel o en tu teléfono móvil. Con esto recibirás tu credenciales para poder participar: una pulsera.

Registrarte OFFLINE

Todavía podrás inscribirte en la carpa de registración el miércoles 4 de octubre entre las 10 y las 16 horas. El precio para registrar offline es más alta. Del jueves a domingo puedes registrarte entre las 8 y las 16hs. Ten en cuenta los horarios del comienzo si quieres participar el mismo día.

1, 2, 3, O 4 DÍAS

Cuando te registras, tú decides cuántos días caminas. Solo los participantes que caminen 4 días y terminen a tiempo todos los días (¡antes de las 16hs!) recibirán una medalla el domingo.

DISTANCIAS

Al registrarte, eliges la distancia que quieres caminar, 10, 20 o 30 kilómetros. ¿Quieres cambiar tu distancia durante el evento? No hay problema, pero por favor informa al equipo en la carpa de administración, para que sepamos cuántas personas están caminando en las diferentes rutas.

• Start 30 km: 08.00 - 09.00hs

• Finish cierra a las 16.00hs SIN excepciones.

SEÑALIZACIÓN

Todas las rutas están indicadas por señales reconocibles con flechas de colores.

• 10 km: amarilla

• 20 km: verde

• 30 km: azul

• Challenge: naranja

En la aplicación M4DW puedes ver la ruta que vas a caminar todos los días y también ver dónde estás tú exactamente en esta ruta.

CHECKPOINTS

Encontrarás puntos de control (checkpoints) en el camino, donde se escaneará tu pulsera. Hay 1 punto de control en la ruta de 10 km, 2 en la ruta de 20 km y 3 puntos de control en la ruta de 30 km. También hay aseos y se reparten botellas de agua.

• Checkpoint 1 (10, 20 & 30 km): 13hs

• Checkpoint 2 (20 & 30 km): 15hs

COMIDA & BEBIDA

Lleva siempre una botella de agua y un snack para el camino. En varios puntos de la ruta hay puestos donde puedes comprar algo para comer y beber. También puedes recargar las pilas en los distintos bares y restaurantes.

SEGURIDAD EN LA RUTA

Hay dos equipos de seguridad y apoyo en la carretera todos los días para ayudar a los caminantes cuando sea necesario.

Además, hay una ambulancia en la ruta y hay una de reserva en Walking Village (Plaza del Mar).

SEGURO

Asegúrate de que tu seguro cubra la asistencia médica. En principio, la ambulancia te llevará a un hospital público, si tienes un seguro privado puedes consultar con antelación qué hospitales privados están cubiertos por la póliza.

Tráfico

La policía está en puntos concurridos, siempre sigue sus instrucciones y las de los voluntarios de M4DW. Estás caminando en la vía pública donde hay otro tráfico, así que quédate en la acera o camina por el lado de la carretera que va en contra del tráfico (te ven venir y tú los ves).

ASSISTENCIA & AMBULANCIA

Hay una carpa especial en Walking Village donde puede ir para recibir atención médica y una ambulancia en “stand by” en la misma plaza.

MEDIO AMBIENTE

En los puntos de control hay papeleras para residuos normales y para reciclar plástico. Además, puedes tirar tus residuos en los contenedores que se encuentran en las calles de las urbanizaciones. Los contenedores amarillos son para plástico, el azul para papel, el verde para vidrio y el gris para residuos.

Fumar

Manten tus descansos para fumar en lugares con un cenicero. Por tirar colillas en la naturaleza se imponen multas altísimas, no solo por ser un desecho, sino también por el riesgo de incendio.

Orinar en publico

De acuerdo con las regulaciones locales, no se permite orinar en público. Hay baños en los controles y en España también está permitido usar el baño sin consumir, aunque los dueños de los bares, por supuesto, prefieren que tomes algo en su terraza.

Toma nota!

Un caminante que sea visto por alguien de la organización tirando basura en la calle o en la naturaleza será excluido de la participación al resto del evento.

INFORMACIÓN PRÁCTICA ES

VIA GLADIOLO

El domingo, antes de llegar al finish, pasarás el arco de Via Gladiolo. El gladiolo es el símbolo romano de la victoria: ¡tú lo lograste! Amigos, familiares y el equipo de M4DW te reciben allí con música y gladiolos. A partir de ahí, es solo un poco más hasta el final, cuando hayas completado cuatro días, ¡recibirás una medalla allí!

ONG

La organización de Marbella 4Days Walking colabora con Cudeca, una ONG que ofrece cuidados a pacientes con cancer y sus familias. El Miércoles y Domingo habrá una Cudeca Charity carpa. Para más información vea anuncio en esta guía.

ROPA

Use calcetines y zapatos adecuados y tenga en cuenta las diversas condiciones climáticas, incluida la lluvia. El sol todavía puede ser bastante fuerte, un sombrero o una gorra no están de más y ¡no olvides aplicarte protección solar!

Desnudo solo en la playa

En las terrazas, plazas y calles, y por tanto también en el Walking Village, se espera que vayas debidamente vestido. La policía puede multarte por no llevar camiseta, salvo que estés en la playa.

LAS PULSERAS

Todo va aún más rápido y fácil este año con las pulseras 4Days. Un sistema moderno para los caminantes, fiesteros y para pagar. ¿Qué es qué?

CAMINAR

El color de tu pulsera indica la distancia que vas a caminar. En la salida, en los puntos de control y en el finish, se escanea el chip de esta pulsera. Los escáneres nuestros solo pueden leer el chip en este pulsera.

• Amarillo: 10 kilometros, 4 días

• Verde: 20 kilometros, 4 días

• Azul: 30 kilometros, 4 días

• Naranja: Challenge Rutas, 2 días

• Rojo: todas las distancias, 1 día

• Negro: sistema de pago para caminantes y público en general

PAGAR

En las carpas de la plaza solo puedes pagar con tu pulsera. Puedes recoger la pulsera y luego vincularlo a tu cuenta tú mismo en la aplicación Bracelit o activarlo en el mostrador de Bracelit. Los escáneres del personal del bar solo pueden leer el chip de este sistema de pago.

PRAKTISCHE INFORMATIE

ONLINE INSCHRIJVEN

Je kunt je online inschrijven via www.marbella4dayswalking.com. Via email ontvang je jouw deelnemersnummer, neem dit mee op papier of op je mobiele telefoon. Hiermee krijg je startbewijs uitgereikt in de vorm van een polsbandje.

OFFLINE INSCHRIJVEN

Wanneer het maximum van 3000 deelnemers nog niet is behaald, kun jij je nog inschrijven in de registratietent. Weet wel: offline inschrijven is duurder dan online inschrijven. Van donderdag tot en met zondag kun je je tussen 8 en 16 uur inschrijven. Wil je dezelfde dag nog meelopen? Houd dan wel rekening met de starttijden.

1, 2, 3, OF 4 DAGEN

Je bepaalt bij inschrijving zelf hoeveel dagen je wandelt. Alleen de deelnemers die 4 dagen wandelen en iedere dag op tijd zijn gefinisht (voor 16.00 uur!) krijgen op zondag een medaille.

AFSTANDEN

Bij het inschrijven kies je de afstand die je wilt lopen, 10, 20 of 30 kilometer. Wil je tijdens het evenement jouw afstand wijzigen? Geen probleem maar meld dit dan even in de administratietent.

In de M4DW app kun je elke dag de route zien die je gaat lopen en ook zien waar jij je exact bevindt op deze route.

CHECKPOINTS

Je komt onderweg checkpoints tegen waar je polsbandje wordt gescand: 1 bij de 10km, 2 bij de 20km en 3 bij de 30km. Iedere deelnemer krijgt daar een flesje water en heeft de mogelijkheid naar het toilet te gaan

M4DW APP

In de App van Marbella 4Days Walking zie je elke dag de route die je wandelt. Jouw vrienden en familie waar dan ook ter wereld kunnen je ook volgen. Bovendien zie je hier de laatste nieuwtjes over het evenement. Via de noodknopmet noodnummer kun je contact opnemen met de organisatie en jouw locatie doorsturen.

ETEN & DRINKEN

Neem zelf ook altijd water en een snack mee voor onderweg. Op diverse punten op de route staan 1 of meerdere stands waar je wat te eten en drinken kunt kopen. Daarnaast kun je bij de diverse bars en restaurants op sommige routes, ook even op krachten komen.

VEILIGHEID ONDERWEG

Er zijn elke dag twee Safety & Support teams onderweg die waar nodig wandelaars bijstaan.

Ambulance

Bovendien rijdt er een ambulance op de route en staat er één standby bij de Walking Village (Plaza del Mar).

VERZEKERING

Zorg ervoor dat jouw verzekering medische hulp dekt. De ambulance brengt je in principe naar een openbaar ziekenhuis, als je een privéverzekering hebt kun je vooraf kijken welke privéziekenhuizen onder de polis vallen.

Verkeer

Op drukke punten staat politie, volg altijd hun aanwijzingen en die van M4DW vrijwilligers op. Je loopt op openbare wegen waar ook ander verkeer is, blijf dus op het trottoir of loop aan de kant van de weg die tegen het verkeer in gaat (dan zien zij jou aankomen en jij ziet hen).

ASSISTENTIE & AMBULANCE

Er is een speciale tent in de Walking Village waar je terecht kunt voor zorg en fysio behandelingen, ook staat een ambulance daar standby.

MILIEU

Bij de checkpoints staan vuilnisbakken voor afval en om plastic te recyclen. Daarnaast kun je jouw afval kwijt in de containers die in de straten van woonwijken staan. De gele containers zijn voor plastic, de blauwe voor papier, groen voor glas en grijs voor restafval.

Roken

Houd je rookpauzes op plekken met een asbak. Voor het weggooien van peuken in de natuur worden torenhoge boetes uitgeschreven, niet alleen vanwege het feit dat het afval is maar ook vanwege het risico op brand. Liever niet in de Walking Village, maar als dat te moeilijk is dan graag niet op de dansvloer.

Wildplassen

Volgens de lokale verordeningen is wildplassen niet toegestaan. Bij de checkpoints staan toiletten en in Spanje is het toegestaan ook zonder consumptie gebruik te maken van het toilet in restaurants en bars. De eigenaren hebben natuurlijk liever dat je ook even een drankje op hun terras drinkt. Een kleine donatie helpt veelal ook.

Let op!

Een wandelaar die door iemand van de organisatie of andere deelnemer wordt gezien en op straat of in de natuur afval weggooit, wordt uitgesloten van deelname aan de rest van het evenement en voor de eerstvolgende editie.

PRAKTISCHE INFORMATIE NL

VIA GLADIOLO

Op zondag, voordat je de finish bereikt, passeer je de boog van de Via Gladiolo. De gladiool is het Romeinse symbool voor de overwinning: je hebt het gehaald! Vrienden, familie en het team van M4DW verwelkomen je daar met muziek en gladiolen. Vanaf daar is het nog een klein stukje naar de finish, als je vier dagen hebt voltooid ontvang je daar een medaille!

GOEDE DOELEN

De organisatie van Marbella 4Days Walking steunt CUDECA, een hospice voor kankerpatiënten en hun familie. Wandelaars kunnen natuurlijk ook een donatie doen. Zie de advertentie in dit magazine voor meer informatie.

KLEDING

Draag geschikte sokken en schoenen en houd rekening met diverse weersomstandigheden, ook met regen. Laagjes is altijd beter. De zon kan nog behoorlijk krachtig zijn, ook in de schaduw zijn UV stralen, en een hoed of pet zijn niet overbodig en vergeet je niet in te smeren met zonnebrandcrème!

Bloot alleen op het strand

Op terrassen, pleinen en in de straten, en dus ook in de Walking Village, word je geacht correct gekleed te gaan. De politie kan hoge boetes uitschrijven voor het niet dragen van een shirt of hemd, tenzij je op het strand bent.

DE POLSBANDJES

Alles gaat nog sneller en makkelijker dit jaar met de betaalbandjes(polsbandjes). Een modern systeem voor wandelaars en feestgangers om mee te betalen. Wat is wat?

WANDELEN

De kleur van je bandje geeft de afstand van jouw wandelroute aan. Bij de start, checkpoints en finish wordt de chip in dit polsbandje gescand. Die scanners kunnen alleen de chip voor het wandelen lezen.

• Geel: 10 kilometer, 4 dagen

• Groen: 20 kilometer, 4 dagen

• Blauw: 30 kilometer, 4 dagen

• Oranje: Challenge Routes, 2 dagen

• Rood: alle afstanden, 1 dag

• Zwart: betaalsysteem voor wandelaars en algemeen publiek

BETALEN

Bij de tenten op het plein kun je alleen met je polsbandje betalen. Je kunt dit betaalbandje ophalen en daarna zelf koppelen aan jouw account in de Bracelit App of activeren bij de Payment Wristband tent. De scanners van het barpersoneel kunnen alleen deze betaalchip lezen.

Handig & snel

Betalen voor drankjes, eten en M4DW souvenirs in de Walking Village, Plaza del Mar, is volledig contactloos, veilig, makkelijk en snel. Bij de tent ‘Payment Wristbands’ kun je een betaalbandje ophalen, waarmee je zowel overdag als ’s avonds op het plein kunt betalen.

Hoe werkt het?

• De chip in jouw betaalbandje wordt gekoppeld aan de beveiligde betaalapp Bracelit waar jij je eigen persoonlijke pagina met inlogcodes krijgt na het aanmaken van een persoonlijke account.

• Je kunt je wallet, debet of credit card koppelen OF je laat je saldo opwaarderen bij de Payment Wristbands tenten.

Volunteers are the backbone of our event, many of whom have dedicated over a decade to making Marbella 4Days Walking a success. Nearly 65 passionate individuals ensure every participant has a memorable experience. Their day begins early as they prepare routes and put up the signs. At checkpoints, they greet walkers, scan wristbands, and distribute water, while others handle registration.

Volunteers also manage the Walking Village, keeping everything running smoothly. As the day ends, the Route Team collects signs, always thinking ahead. The dedication of our team of volunteers is evident in every detail, from early preparations to the final cheers at the finish line into the after-parties. Without their commitment, none of this would be possible, and for that, we are endlessly grateful.

Los voluntarios son la columna vertebral de nuestro evento, muchos de los cuales han dedicado más de una década a hacer que Marbella 4Days Walking sea un éxito. Casi 65 personas apasionadas se aseguran de que cada participante tenga una experiencia memorable. Su día comienza temprano mientras preparan rutas y cuelgan carteles. En los puntos de control, saludan a los caminantes, escanean pulseras y reparten agua, mientras que otros se encargan del registro.

Los voluntarios también gestionan el Walking Village, haciendo que todo funcione sin problemas. Al final del día, el equipo de ruta recoge los carteles, siempre pensando en el futuro. La dedicación de nuestro equipo de voluntarios es evidente en cada detalle, desde los preparativos iniciales hasta los aplausos finales en la línea de meta y las fiestas posteriores. Sin ellos, nada de esto sería posible, y por eso estamos infinitamente agradecidos.

Bij controleposten begroeten anderen wandelaars, scannen ze polsbandjes en delen ze water uit, terwijl weer anderen de registratie regelen.

Vrijwilligers beheren ook de Walking Village en zorgen ervoor dat daar alles soepel verloopt. Aan het einde van de dag verzamelt het route Team wederom de bordjes, altijd vooruitdenkend. De toewijding van ons team van vrijwilligers is in elk detail zichtbaar, van de vroege voorbereidingen tot de laatste toejuichingen bij de finishlijn en tijdens de after-party’s. Zonder hen zou dit allemaal niet mogelijk zijn, en daarvoor zijn wij enorm dankbaar.

Als Leiderschapscoach en -mentor begeleid ik vrouwen op seniorniveau om krachtig en bewust hun plek in te nemen, zodat je je authentieke leven kunt creëren. Zodat je keuzes kunt maken die passen bij deze fase van je leven. Gebruik je tijd & energie voor wat er écht toe doet voor jou.

De NCCS bestaat al sinds 1979. Doelstelling is de Nederlandssprekenden aan de Costa del Sol bij elkaar te brengen in een plezierige ambiance. Daartoe organiseert de club met regelmaat evenementen, zoals bijvoorbeeld de nieuwjaarsreceptie, koningsdag, autopuzzelrit, Leidens ontzet, bridgetoernooi, inloopborrels, koffieochtenden, regelmatige etentjes en vele interessante excursies en reisjes.

We are a non-profit organization that offers professional medical care to patients suffering from cancer or other advanced illnesses, as well as support to their families. All of which we give completely free of charge.

We treat through the philosophy of palliative care, a field in which we have great experience and competence from which we give our special kind of caring. Not only do we treat the physical disease but we also treat the psychological, social and spiritual side of the illness. We work to make our patients feel dignified until the end.

Our activity began in 1992 thanks to the work and dedication of Joan Hunt. Born in England and living on the Costa del Sol. After the death of her husband from cancer, she decided to dedicate her life to helping others that were in the same situation. For this she founded CUDECA hospice.

Each year we give free end-of-life care to approximately 1.800 patients. This has a high cost and we desperately need your help to meet these expenses.

Today we continue offering our care totally free of charge to everyone who needs it. We know we cannot add more days to life but with our care, we can add life to days.

For years, M4DW has proudly supported Cudeca, an incredible organisation that provides compassionate care and guidance to cancer patients and their families across the province of Málaga. As a charity that relies on generous donations, Cudeca’s mission is also made possible through the kindness of supporters like you.

This year, you can make a meaningful difference by contributing (extra) to Cudeca during the event. Participants can show their support with an additional donation of a minimum of €10 at the Walking Village. You’ll receive a special event t-shirt as a token of appreciation (only the first 1000 donations).

La Concha (which means ‘the shell’) is located in the most southern part of the Sierra Blanca mountain range, which is an extension of the stunning Sierra de las Nieves and its nature park. It offers beautiful walking trails for you to explore.

La Concha se encuentra en la parte más meridional de la Sierra Blanca, que es una extensión de la hermosa Sierra de las Nieves y el parque natural del mismo nombre. Por ahí, se puede caminar bellamente!

La Concha (betekent ‘de schelp’) is gelegen in het meest zuidelijke gedeelte van de Sierra Blanca bergketen, die een extentie is van de prachtige Sierra de las Nieves en het natuurpark met dezelfde naam. Je kunt er prachtig wandelen.
