DNV Accreditation Decatur County Memorial Hospital received word in 2011 of achieving national accreditation from DNV Healthcare. It is the newest and first Medicare approved hospital accreditation program. DNV sets itself apart by utilizing the ISO 9001 quality management system with the Medicare hospital standard and by requiring the organization to evaluate the continuum of patient care throughout our entire healthcare system and take measured steps to improve when it is warranted. Hospital accreditation speaks to professionalism and the ability to meet specified standards of care. DNV hospital accreditations address the demands of quality driven hospitals that are dedicated to patient centered care. Being accredited also brings important financial benefits since it allows DCMH to receive reimbursement for the patients covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
