Guided sightseeing trip to Kings Landing! That’s right, back by popular demand. Take a step back in time and relish at how we have evolved as society. Ever wish you could live a simpler life for a day? Come witness how early settlers where able to get by without the modern conveniences of today’s society. Cap this off with a delicious lunch at the King’s Head Inn and you might possibly have the perfect fall day! Trip will depart from the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center at 8:30a.m.and return by 4:30pm. Upon arrival we will break for a sit down lunch, included with fee. Minimum of six people required to pre-register with a committed fee of $45.00 by 4:00pm September 14, 2012. Trip is reserved for individuals over the age of 55. Rain date October 5, 2012.

Guided horse drawn wagon ride followed by an afternoon tour at the Presque Isle School Farm. Calling all farm stand lovers! October is the perfect month to visit the Presque isle School Farm. If Mother Nature cooperates we might even get to see the cider press in action. Boasting the largest apple orchard north of Newport, the Presque Isle School Farm is the perfect place to fill up on all your fall time favorites…EVEN apple pies! What could get better than this? How about an afternoon that includes a horse drawn wagon ride? Putnam Farms in Mapleton not only will give you a beautiful ride behind beautiful horses, but they will also hide pumpkins for us to take home. Trip will depart from the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center at 9:30am and return by 3:30pm. At 11:30am we break for a sit down lunch, included with fee. Minimum of six people required to pre-register with a committed fee of $25.00 by 4:00pm September 21, 2012. Trip is reserved for individuals over the age of 55. Rain date October 10, 2012.

Guided day trip through beautiful Baxter State Park! What better way to take in the spectacle of fall’s beauty than by taking a day trip to Baxter State Park? Couple the color of the fall foliage with the backdrop of one of the most rugged and picturesque portions of Maine, this could quite simply be the day trip of a lifetime. Trip will depart from the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center at 8:00am and return by 5:00pm. At 12:00pm we break for a picnic lunch consisting of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, included with fee. Minimum of six people required to preregister with a committed fee of $30.00 by 4:00pm September 28, 2012. Trip is reserved for individuals over the age of 55. Rain date October 12, 2012.

Guided sightseeing trip to remote wilderness sporting camps on Munsungan Lake. Sporting camps are a way of life in the North Maine Woods. For over a century eager sportsman and vacationers have traveled to the North Maine Woods to embrace the wonders of nature. Sporting Camps eventually evolved to provide the conveniences of living at home in a remote location. Travel with us to Northern Piscataquis County for the day to learn about the history of Bradford Camps, from owners Karen and Igor Sikorski, while being treated to a sit down lunch in their wilderness lodge. Trip will depart from the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center at 8:00am and return by 5:00pm. Upon arrival we will break for a sit down lunch, included with fee. Minimum of six people required to pre-register with a committed fee of $40.00 by 4:00pm September 28, 2012. Trip is reserved for individuals over the age of 55. Rain Date October 17, 2012.
