COVID continues to play havoc on local events MAJOR events in Lyme Regis continue to be affected by the coronavirus pandemic, with tighter restrictions on social distancing now being enforced again. Lyme Regis Fossil Festival, which had already been pushed from May to October, has now been cancelled, as well as live music events organised by Jazz Jurassica at the Marine Theatre. The annual fireworks and bonfire night in November has also been pulled, as well as the BIG Breakfast in aid of Cancer Research UK. REPORT, PAGE 3

New owner at Nags

THEY DID IT! AFTER a spectacular season, Uplyme & Lyme Regis Cricket Club were crowned champions of the Devon Mini League Tier 5 on Saturday, with a resounding win over Plymouth CS and Roborough. consultation on dog-related Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) earlier this year and the results have now been revealed. The consultation asked for the views of residents, visitors and

business owners regarding restrictions placed on dogs in public places, such as beaches and cemeteries, to help the council decide whether to make any changes to the existing PSPOs, which were passed over from the now defunct West Dorset District Council and other district coun-

THE Nag’s Head in Lyme Regis will soon be reopening under new ownership. Tony Allen will be taking over as landlord of the Silver Street pub from James and Rebecca DeVoisey. The Nag’s is the only Lyme Regis pub which has yet to reopen following the easing of COVID-19 regulations. REPORT, PAGE 13
