Call for action at Regent Cinema THE Cinema Theatre Association, which promotes interest in all aspects of heritage cinema buildings, has called for action to be taken on the rebuild of Lyme Regis’ firestricken Regent Cinema. Lack of parking puts off shoppers

LYME Regis is unlikely to see any additional parking spaces created in Broad Street, despite concerns that a lack of parking is driving shoppers elsewhere. ■ FORMER Lyme Regis lifeboatman Ian Kentfield has just completed a row across the Atlantic, raising more than £10,000 for the Ellen MacArthur Sailing Trust. Mr Kentfield and his 11 team mates completed the voyage from the Canary Islands to Antigua, in the Caribbean, in 42 days, two hours and 30 minutes. See page 24 for full story and more photos.

COVID cost town £300k
