SENIOR EXECUTIVE UPDATE: UPCOMING EVENTS As work has begun in the teams, it is important to keep the following considerations in mind. One of our top priorities in November is the opening of the Chair Applications on November 20th. As a part of the effort to facilitate this goal, a tripartite working group organization is necessary. The steady work done by the Communications team since September has resulted in the release of the new PiMUN official logo (see article on page 5). Their next goal is the launch of the PiMUN website that is set for November 17th. The website will serve as main marketing windos to attract students and sponsors alike. The Communications team will work alongside with the Committees and Applications teams for the opening of Chair recruitment campaign on November 20th on the website on which candidates will find applications forms. Thanks to the sustained efforts of the Committees team, a lot of progress has been made

in the writing of the 2015 edition committees list which will be revealed very soon. We are also very much looking forward to see the General Theme set for this year. Last but not least, our Finance team will update us with news about the sending of subsidies applications to univiersities and other institutions. As PiMUN 2015 cannot happen without funding, we count on the motivation, thoroughness, persistence and sense of responsibility of the entire Finance team as well as to receive as maximum of positive anwsers as possible. An estimated budget for the year will also be presented by the team.

SPOTLIGHT: PIMUN MAKEOVER UNDERWAY One highlight of a major upgrade this year. The Communications team led by Marion Marigo last week unveiled a new brand identity, symbolized by the introduction of a new logo that signifies its growth and transformation.

The official release of the new PiMUN logo kicked off a new era at PiMUNattractedwide interest last week among staff and followers on the social networks. The Communications team has been working relentlessly on the new visual identity of our organization and is proud to present the new PiMUN logo. Designed by Marine Barbaud, the new logo refers to the United Nations in many ways. White and blue are the official colors on the UN flag adopted on 20 October 1947 by the General Assembly. Back then, it was decided that the flag should be the official emblem with light blue background as the opposite of red, “the war color”. aims to The Eiffel Tower, which is inscribed in the central motif- a wreath consisting of crossed conventionalized branches of the olive tree, a symbol for peace- is a direct reference to Paris. Particular emphasis needs to be put on Paris as host to welcome our delegates from all over the world. The launch of our new brand logo kicks-off a new era that speaks to what PiMUN is as a student organization and that we are a direct reflection of the values we seek to embody – peace, Frenchness or Parisianness, along with collaboration, exchange, education, negotiation, networking. The subtle color code system (blue, white, grey) chosen seeks to reconcile tradition with modernity. We are proud of our growth over the years and our new brand identity will now illustrate how far our organization has come in upholding these values. Available in different versions, the logo was designed to be modular and adaptable to different communication supports, whether print or online. The team is also currently pursuing its efforts to implement the visual communication strategy and is currently working on the new website which will be launched officially on November 17th . Meanwhile, a countdown has been set up to sustain interest. Stay tuned!
