Introduction
LYD House is honored to present to TaskUS a comprehensive design and build to suit proposal for the opening of its new Tropicalia site in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia. The site will seek not only to meet the operational & commercial needs of TaskUS, but also to consolidate its presence in the fastest growing city in the country. Barranquilla, as the economic and cultural epicenter of the Colombian Caribbean, offers a unique opportunity to expand the company’s operations, taking advantage of its strategic location, its connectivity to international markets, and its highly skilled labor force.
The project takes place on a historic textile factory located just one block away from the city’s Riverwalk, colloquially known as “Malecon del Rio”, the country’s most visited public venue. LYD House is bullish that such strategic location will help TaskUs maximize operational efficiency and provide a world-class working environment. This proposal details the scope of the architectural design, space planning, and the benefits that the opening of this new site will bring to both TaskUS and the city of Barranquilla. Key aspects such as the sustainability of the project, the adaptation to the specific needs of TaskUS, technical designs, and the detailed specifics of the site will be presented.

The design will focus on creating a modern, efficient and sustainable workspace while maximizing the functionality and well-being of its employees.
Project Objetives
1. Design and build a modern site that meets the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency, providing a work environment that enhances the productivity and well-being of TaskUS employees.
2. Consolidate TaskUS presence in Colombia by expanding to Barranquilla, a city with growing economic and technological development, and strategic access to the Caribbean market and highly qualified bilingual talent.
3. Have unmatched amenities and comfort to maximize retention and minimize attrition.
Site Analysis
The project is strategically located at the intersection of Via 40 and Calle 77, one of the most dynamic and accessible areas of Barranquilla. This location offers a privileged proximity to the Malecon del Rio, one of the main tourist and recreational points of the city, which is less than 10 minutes away.
The area has diverse amenities, including commercial areas, restaurants, and recreational spaces that contribute to a vibrant and pleasant work environment. In addition, the proximity to the Malecon del Rio provides TaskUS employees with access to an outdoor space ideal for rest and recreation, promoting a healthy work-life balance
The location is highly accessible from all parts of the city, thanks to the extensive network of public transportation routes that run along Via 40. These routes efficiently connect the area with other key areas of Barranquilla, facilitating employees' daily commute and contributing to a more efficient operation. In addition, the proximity to main roads ensures quick access for both public and private transportation, optimizing travel times and improving connectivity with other cities and regions.
