「勵·緬」 在2015年初由一班對緬甸兒童、教育及慈善工作有負擔，且曾去過當地探 訪、服務的義工所組成，積極在香港及緬甸推動不同的籌款及關懷行動，讓更多人能關 心緬甸的兒童、教育及社區發展，秉承本會的創會宗旨：Love for Myanmar、Learn from Myanmar、Link to Myanmar。現時「勵·緬」已於香港特別行政區政府註冊為慈 善團體及根據《稅務條例》第88條獲豁免繳稅。

定期每月支持超過130名於不同鄉鎮孤 兒院及兒童之家內生活的兒童及青少年
資助社區為本項目 如「光·臨緬甸太陽能燈計劃」、「 欽邦 Mercy社區診所建設」、「海嘎學校鋪 路工程計劃」、「Days for Girls環保衛 生巾計劃」等

Today was an eye-opening and enriching day on our volunteer trip to Yangon. We started by visiting the social enterprise Amazing Grace, which supports people with disabilities, especially women, in Myanmar.
At Amazing Grace, we got the chance to use recycled materials to make our own accessories like necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. It was a fun and creative activity that allowed us to directly engage with and support the work of this impactful organization.
After our crafting session, we had a delicious traditional Myanmar lunch prepared by Amazing Grace. Many of us took the opportunity to buy souvenirs and handicrafts to bring home, further supporting the enterprise’s mission.

Day 6

In the afternoon, we went to Mercy Education Centre for a youth summit. We all gave a presentation sharing what we had learned from visiting the social enterprises in Yangon. It was a great way to foster cross-cultural exchange and help the local youth gain a better understanding of social entrepreneurship in Myanmar.
Before the end of the day, we had the chance to walk around the neighborhood with some of the local youths. It was a wonderful opportunity to interact with them and get a more authentic glimpse into daily life in Yangon.
Day 6 was a great day like all the other days. The experience allowed us to directly engage with and support the amazing social enterprises and youth initiatives making a difference in this city. Though it was an exhausting day, it definitely was a fruitful one as well.
八天的行程中，更有Mercy English Centre 的青 年們與我們同行。我們分組活動，除了在他們的導 覽了解緬甸風土人情，更重要是得到與他們深入交 談的機會。由自我介紹到當地文化、政局看法、個 人經歷、未來展望，無所不談，相遇僅有短短幾 日，唯有期望情誼延續不斷。有時候，總覺得自己 帶給他們的。
I always see life as a journey, not a destination. It was more than precious to be able to explore this mysterious, captivating nation.
This trip drove me to think outside the box. With a political science and international relations background, I was compelled to understand Myanmar’s humanitarian crises and human rights challenges. Traversing the streets of Yangon, I observed the resilience of the people in the face of adversity, which united them even amid conflict. I genuinely felt so privileged to engage directly with the locals. I was phenomenally encouraged by the passion and entrepreneurial optimism of those in social enterprises we met, which provided hope despite the country’s turbulent situation. Given the pervasive power shortages and the expressions of hopelessness and powerlessness among the people, it underscores the critical need for those in more developed nations to approach and explore resolutions to impact Myanmar’s communities and civil society healthily.
Some names must be mentioned - Steve, Joshua, Grace, Lily, Sang Pi, and Ei Maang, who are all stunning and amazing people I met at the Lighthouse Community Centre and Mercy Education Centre. These individuals, driven by their talent, vision, and aspirations for a better future, left a profound and lasting impact on me, inspiring a sense of gratitude, empathy, and a commitment to uplift the dreams of all people, regardless of their circumstances.
Stay calm and carry on. My Burmese friends, and countless others like them, are truly remarkabletheir talent, drive, and vision for a better future are awe-inspiring. I have never met people so candid, sincere, and capable of exuding such amicable warmth when I travelled. I believe this is what resonates with the realisation of international relations, which is about engaging with and learning from those most impacted by humanitarian crises.
This one week trip to Myanmar was truly fruitful and memorable. Although I been to Myanmar for a few times already, this trip was a different one.
We went to different social enterprises, saw many passionated entrepreneurs who are trying their best to make an impact in Myanmar. I have learnt a lot from each visits.
Meeting and mingling with local youth was also a very interesting part of the trip. We were able to meet new people, learn and understand the hardship they are going through. It is rare for tours from Hong Kong to have this much opportunity to interact with locals.
This project was also very meaningful, although we spent only a week there, we made many people smile.

It took a lot of time for all of us to plan and prepare all the activities, we were rather worried how things will work out, fortunately everything went smoothly and was a great success. It is very nice to see how everyone enjoyed the activities we planned.
My favourite part of the trip was distributing soy milk in the slums. Although soy milk is something very ordinary for us, for the kids there, it is not something they can have often. The cup of soy milk is not simply soy milk, but it’s also Sharing love and care. It gives us a lesson to value and treasure what we have.
I am also very glad that the relationship among the team/group was also very good. We all helped and support each other during difficulties. The trip wouldn’t be so much fun without them.
