DESIGN GOAL
Our main goal is to design the entire third floor utilizing our client’s brand identity, while narrating a connection to nature. By visualizing natural scenic moments such as the summit, the mountain peak, and even the leaves surrounding us, we wanted to establish a sense of coziness and warmth to the space. Therefore, we developed unique spacial features in mid to high traffic areas such as the open collaboration zones, break room, and informal lounges.

THE SNUG HUB
Through the mix of using natural wood and vibrant colors to the space, we wanted to establish a sense of coziness, freedom, and warmth to the space, in other words, create a cozy hub. Other unique spacial elements were introduced to highlight some of the areas for collaboration purposes, including curvy light system, oversized pendants, acoustical wood walls, as well as privacy booths for focus.

Ground Floor:
There was an opportunity to reuse the existing limestone material as the building’s shell. Serene element such as a water feature (interior) and an outdoor floral garden (exterior) are the main healing features throughout the ground floor.

THE STORY
The city of Jerusalem have a long history of war and conflicts. By understanding the local culture and the users’ needs, it allowed me to brainstorm healing programs such as meditation zone, basket weaving workshop and outdoor flower garden. This 2-story community center will be a purposeful hub for them to connect together and heal.
My design goal is to introduce a quiet yet designated hub for the users to meditate and re-connect. By adding partitions to the spacial arrangement, a sense of isolation and privacy was successfully achieved.

Second Floor:
The main program on the second floor will be a hand-made basketry and floral arrangement workshop. By introducing hand-making crafts, these creative activities are thoughtfully brainstormed to spark creativity, improve self-esteem, and most importantly, build a supportive environment among the women community.
DESIGN STRATEGIES
Bringing natural light and crafts to the space, my design intention is also to specify materials that are locally available such as natural stones; limestone, mosaic tiles, and regional plants. SCOPE OF WORK
This is a team collaboration project where we brainstormed a mixed-use program throughout the existing ground floor: Retail & Cafe. We wanted to target the local shoppers, tourists, including working professionals who are current tenants of the floors above.

Pattern Study 2D to 3D Formation
DESIGN GOAL:
The goal of this project is to bring longlasting revenue to the client and high-end retail experience to the customers that venture into the space. By using locally available materials, we wanted to bring the people of Beirut together as a reminder of the local culture.
DESIGN CHALLENGE:
Based on the sun path study, the challenege for us was to create eye-catching luxurious expression on the front and side facades of the building with the intention to attract more visitors.
A major focus of this project comes from our 2D pattern study that was inspired by geometric shapes, where we picked one specific pattern as it has the most potential and movement which can be further developed into 3D forms.
