TUTORING JOB VACANY - PAID JOB Job Title : Tutor LWFCI-UK is currently looking to recruit 2 Tutors with experience of teaching children with special educational needs for a small group of children based in Bromley. The Tutors will work together with other teaching assistants and volunteers on a project called Destiny Children and Family Support Group. Principal Function The post is primarily for a tutor to teach a mixed age group of children with special educational needs aged from 5-13 years. The post is on an ongoing hourly basis on every Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-7pm in Bromley. The main objectives of the role is teach basic skill core subjects like English, maths, reading and writing, spelling, listening, communication and art and assist children with special education needs in developing strategies for learning that will enable them to achieve their educational long term goals. The newly teaching Tutor will have a proven track record of delivering inspirational and stimulating lesson plans and must have excellent subject knowledge. The role will require you to work with small groups of young people to ensure and promote their learning. Duties Be able to plan the teaching lessons and able to teach and support all levels of numeracy and literacy and have specialist teaching materials for children with Special Educational Needs , varying learning difficulties including Emotional Social and Behavioural Difficulties, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, (Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, etc). ii) Be able to use a variety of suitable teaching and learning styles appropriate to children and young people and to communicate clear learning objectives and expectations. Able to manage pupil behaviour taking into account the personal, social, health and emotional needs of pupils. Must have up to date teaching and learning resources which enable all pupils to reach their full potentials in all areas of the curriculum including phonics, grammar, spelling, handwriting, reading etc. The tutor must endeavour to adapt all work set in order to address both the general and specific needs of the group; building self-confidence, communication within the students and encouraging them to reach their full potential. To work as a member of a team, planning co-operatively, sharing information, ideas and expertise. To establish good relationships with parents to promote pupils’ learning and development. Salary: Hourly Rate: £15 per Hour Reporting to: Reporting to the Assistant Managing Director of the Organisation.
