how it works... how it works...
Each month, we bring you two adventurous quests: the Riddle Quest and the Treasure Quest. Here's how it all works:
The Riddle Quest:
The excitement begins when our monthly magazine launches at 5 pm on the 1st of each month
The Riddle Quest unfolds in four phases throughout the month: Phase 1 kicks off on the 1st, Phase 2 on the 8th, Phase 3 on the 15th, and Phase 4 on the 22nd Each Phase contains a portion of the riddle.
Your mission? Solve the riddle by finding the specific location or object it refers to within the Lehigh Valley (Lehigh and Northampton counties)
Snap a photo of your discovery and submit it to us. But beware, you only have three attempts to get it right!
Need a hint? Visit our #hint locations scattered throughout the Lehigh Valley. These locations contain posters with exclusive hints to help you during the Riddle Quest Collect the hints, solve the riddle, and become a "riddle solver"!
The
Treasure Quest:
Successful riddle solvers advance to the next round: the Treasure Quest.
To qualify, you must NOT have won the previous month's treasure hunt and NOT have won the treasure hunt more than twice in a calendar year
On the 2nd of the following month, qualified participants gain access to a special page on our website with a clue, a map, and a note to locate the hidden treasure chest.
Be the first to find and claim the treasure chest using the provided clues to win a $50 gift card to any small local business in the Lehigh Valley area of your choice!

At Lehigh Valley Treasure Hunt, every riddle solver is a winner, regardless of the outcome of the monthly treasure hunts. Even if you don't qualify for the Treasure Quest due to consecutive wins or reaching the limit of two wins in a calendar year, there's still plenty to celebrate!

Every riddle solver who actively participates in the monthly treasure hunts contributes to the vibrant spirit of our community Whether you ' ve solved one riddle or many, your dedication and enthusiasm are appreciated and celebrated
Annual Awards Ceremony:
Each year, we’ll host an Annual Awards Ceremony to honor the achievements and contributions of our treasure hunters. Awards will be presented in various categories, including "Top Riddle Solver", "Best Team Spirit", "Environmental Stewardship", and more! Be part of this special event as we come together to applaud the accomplishments of our treasure hunting community

RESPECT theguidelines...
1. Respect and Courtesy: All participants are expected to treat fellow treasure hunters, organizers, and members of the community with respect and courtesy at all times. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification from the treasure hunt.
2. Fair Play: Participants must adhere to the principles of fair play and sportsmanship throughout the treasure hunt. Cheating, dishonesty, or any attempt to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will result in immediate disqualification and possible exclusion from future events.
3. Safety First: The safety of all participants is our top priority. When participating in the treasure hunt, please exercise caution, obey all traffic laws, and be mindful of the weather and your surroundings. If you encounter any hazardous conditions or situations, proceed with caution and prioritize your safety above all else.
4. Environmental Stewardship: We are committed to promoting environmental stewardship and responsible outdoor recreation. Please respect the natural environment, dispose of trash properly, and refrain from causing any damage to vegetation, wildlife, or property during the treasure hunt.
5. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Participants must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances while participating in the treasure hunt. This includes respecting private property rights and obeying any posted signage or instructions.
6. Clue Interpretation: Clues provided during the treasure hunt may be open to interpretation and require creative thinking to solve. Participants are encouraged to think outside the box, collaborate with teammates, and use their ingenuity to decipher clues and progress through the hunt.
7. Submission Deadlines: All submissions, including answers to clues and completion of challenges, must be submitted by the specified deadline to be eligible. Late submissions may not be accepted, so be sure to manage your time effectively and plan accordingly.
8. Dispute Resolution: In the event of any disputes or disagreements regarding clue interpretations, scoring, or other aspects of the treasure hunt, decisions made by the organizers will be final and binding. Participants are encouraged to raise any concerns or issues with the organizers respectfully and constructively.
9. Have Fun: Above all else, remember to have fun and enjoy the adventure! The Lehigh Valley Treasure Hunt is designed to provide entertainment, excitement, and opportunities for exploration and discovery. Embrace the spirit of the hunt, make lasting memories, and treasure the experience.

Anytime the riddle has you stumped, you can visit participating #Hint Locations. These are small local businesses within the Lehigh Valley that have a #Hint Poster posted somewhere within their business. Each Poster contains hints to help bring you closer to solving the riddle! You might even discover your new favorite spot along the way!

We won’t announce if someone solved the riddle or if 100 people solved the riddle until the next magazine issue. With every Phase comes a new piece to the riddle. You may just end up second guessing yourself and have to return to riddle solving...
