SIGNAGE CONCEPT

RATIONALE

Environmental graphics should be

Brand Alignment

1. navigational 2. informative 3. branded

• Circular designs pulled from the “sun“ shape in the PPCC logo.

Simply put, if an institution promises quality people expect to experience that same quality. Corporations such as Target, REI, Starbucks and others have recognized this. Academia is also learning that the experience can be the determining factor for student enrollment. The following concepts uses knowledge gleaned from these corporations branding best practices as well as other academic institutions who have incorporated user experience into their wayfinding systems.

• Fonts are core to the brand.

Color Choice • Grey is a neutral and balanced color that allows the other more vibrant brand colors to make an impact where it is needed. It’s also recessive to the eye making it ideal as a background element. • Red is our core brand color. It is progressive and ideal for signage that needs to make a statement.
