DT: You have been in the retail business for quite awhile and perfected it. What is the secret formula to succeed in retail? AN: I always keep my client’s needs top of mind first and foremost. I am very client centric on my approach from a service stand point and for the assortments I bring in the store. I have to always be very aware of having unique items and collections in my store which help to set us apart from the rest. DT: If you were not a retailer today? what would you have chosen as another career? AN: As a child I always wanted to be in retail. I think I would have become a fashion designer for both men and women’s collections. DT Who were the role models that inspired you in life? AN: When growing up in Europe as a kid, I was inspired by not just people but by the culture and fashions of the 70's that I was exposed to in London, Paris, and Frankfurt. DT: What is one of the best things you like about owning and operating your own retail store? AN: Being free to create and reinvent the look and feel of my store seasonally. If I see an emerging trend in fashion, I can take a risk and bring it into the store and give it a try for my clients. I am able to take risks and more times than not, I have succeeded. DT: . Las Vegas is known as one of the shopping capitals of the world...is that the primary reason you moved here? AN: I opened my first store in Las Vegas in 1992 at the Forum Shoppes at Caesars Palace. Las Vegas was just starting to be developed into what it is today, a leading fashion shopping destination. It was a huge risk coming here but I knew that there was something very special about the future of this great city and jumped head first into it. Think about it, the Forum Shoppes was where they had the old Las Vegas Grand Prix race track… who was thinking about European fashion then?
