A French painter and sculptor, Aristide Najean had as mentors the greatest glassmasters in Murano. He found in this sculptural activity an extension of his pictorial work, glass became his obvious expression.
His pictorial experience, his creativity, his sense of the subject matter, his color palette, his researches create a poetic and unique work.
Najean realises in his own glass factory – the Cathedral – luminous sculptures, light installations and customised artworks fitting perfectly into their environment.
Going beyond the legacy of the Murano tradition, Aristide has brought an artistic impulse to the world of contemporary glass art.
