» Letter from Giovanni Giallombardo

Chairman of the Board of Directors

As we reflect on 2024, it is evident that Luxair is embarking on a new chapter, one defined by a deepened commitment to quality and a strong sense of purpose. In a year marked by change and progress, our company remained focused on delivering excellence in every aspect of our service: connecting Luxembourg and the Greater Region with Europe and beyond, with care, consistency, and an unwavering attention to detail.

Surpassing the milestone of 2.6 million passengers is not only an operational success, but also a reflection of the enduring trust our customers place in us, and of the collective spirit that drives our teams. Each figure tells a deeper story: of families reunited, of businesses expanded, of cultures brought closer, and Luxair remains proud to be part of these journeys. Among the

many meaningful moments of the year, we were especially honored to accompany His Holiness Pope Francis during his official state visit to Luxembourg. This privilege speaks to the trust placed in our airline and to the symbolic role Luxair plays in representing our nation.

As President, I have the privilege of witnessing the evolution of Luxair from a longterm perspective. In 2024, what truly stands out is how we managed to move forward with ambition, while staying true to our core values. We have laid the groundwork for future growth through investment in modern infrastructure, sustainable fleet renewal, and digital capabilities. Yet, we have never lost sight of our core: a socially responsible, regionally anchored, and people-driven airline.

Luxair is more than a carrier. It is a vital connector, an ambassador of our country, and a contributor to Luxembourg’s visibility, economy, and resilience. Our long-standing commitment to quality service and public responsibility is not simply a legacy, it is an obligation we carry into the future. This includes ensuring that our growth is aligned with environmental goals, societal expectations, and our responsibility towards the community. We are committed to remaining accessible, dependable, and distinctly Luxembourgish.

As we embark on a transformative threeyear phase, I am confident that Luxair is positioned to succeed, not only through new aircraft or new tools, but through the enduring strength of our people and the clarity of our purpose. It is thanks to

our employees’ dedication, our customers’ loyalty, and our partners’ trust that we continue to build a future worthy of our shared values.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I extend my sincere gratitude to all those who have contributed to this journey. I especially wish to thank our customers for their continued loyalty and confidence. Your support inspires us to reach ever higher in delivering quality and service. Together, we are not only preparing for tomorrow, we are also shaping it.

from

2024 was a year of change, a year that tested us but also brought us closer together. It highlighted the extraordinary resilience, dedication, and adaptability of our people. To everyone at Luxair, whether on the ground, in the air, or behind the scenes, thank you for your professionalism, energy, and commitment.

To our 2.6 million customers: thank you for choosing Luxair. Your continued trust in us is invaluable and motivating. In the aviation world, trust is built every day through safety, quality, and care. With more than 90 destinations across Europe and beyond, Luxair is proud to connect people and places with reliable, attentive service. We know that each journey matters, and our promise is to deliver it with the highest standards of quality and safety. We also continuously strive to improve and better align with your needs.

In a year marked by rising fuel costs, inflationary pressures, and increasing operational complexity, Luxair did not just hold steady, we progressed. We reached record passenger numbers, gained market share in a competitive landscape, and generated solid operational profit. While awaiting the delivery of new aircraft, we optimized our resources, safeguarded our service quality, and expanded our network wherever possible.

Macroeconomic conditions remained fragile. Economic growth in the EU was limited, and key markets experienced slowdowns. Nevertheless, strong demand for leisure travel offered both uplift and opportunity. We seized this trend by refining our offerings and strengthening customer engagement. At the same time, we remained active at the European level, advocating for initiatives to enhance airspace efficiency, modernize traffic management systems, and reduce delays driven by sector overloads, airspace fragmentation, and capacity bottlenecks. These advocacy efforts reflect our commitment to supporting a more resilient and responsive European aviation network, even when these improvements are implemented by broader institutional actors. Our goal is to contribute to better

on-time performance, reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and avoid night flights as much as possible, ensuring a smoother experience for passengers and a more sustainable operation overall.

A key moment for our operations came with the inauguration of our new Maintenance Hangar. This vital facility increases capacity, reduces turnaround times, and prepares us for the arrival of the new aircraft. More than just an operational enhancement, it symbolizes a generational shift, replacing the historic Hal Nennig, built in 1952. This development supports our long-term vision of operational excellence and environmental responsibility.

Starting in 2026, Luxair will begin integrating new-generation aircraft into its operations. The E2 and Boeing aircraft we ordered will produce fewer emissions, generate less noise, and offer a significantly improved passenger experience. In 2024, we laid the groundwork for this transformation by modernizing systems, digitizing processes, and reorganizing internally to support the fleet renewal and future operations.

In May 2024, we successfully transferred cargo handling activities to Luxcargo Handling S.A.. This transition helped us sharpen our business focus and streamline the group’s operations. Throughout this process, our people continued to be at the heart of every step, and ensuring their engagement, professional development, and well-being remained central to our efforts.

LuxairTours also strongly contributed to our results and reputation. Our tour operator business offers fully integrated holiday packages that deliver exceptional value and peace of mind. Customers enjoy quality service under one roof, covering everything from flights and hotels to transfers and personal on-the-ground support to ensure a smooth holiday experience. Whether for families, couples, or solo travelers, we offer tailored packages that make travel easy and hassle-free for all.

Amid all of this, we remained deeply committed to our social model: balancing performance with responsibility. Luxair continues to offer a stable and rewarding environment for our employees, recognizing that motivated and well-supported teams are essential to our long-term success.

Looking ahead, Luxair is well-positioned to meet the future with confidence. With a clear roadmap, dedicated teams, and a solid foundation laid in 2024, we are ready. Our teams are proudly living our annual report's motto: ‘Getting Ready for Tomorrow’. This year marks the beginning of a transformative three-year journey: 2024 laid the groundwork, 2025 projects us into the future, and 2026 will mark the take-off. We will prepare, receive, and integrate new aircraft into our operations, a process that will define the next chapter of Luxair.

Thank you for your continued trust in Luxair and for being part of this journey with us.

» A New Home for Excellence: The Luxair Maintenance Hangar

On April 30, 2024, Luxair inaugurated its brand-new aircraft maintenance hangar. Built in partnership with lux-Airport, this state-of-the-art facility is more than just a building; it’s a testament to Luxair’s commitment to safety and investment in the future.

The hangar, covering an impressive 4,600 m², has been designed to accommodate maintenance work on up to three Boeing 737s simultaneously. With dimensions of 85 meters in length and 55 meters in width, the facility offers ample space to support Luxair’s growing fleet.

Remarkably, it took less than two years from the official groundbreaking in July 2022 to the inauguration in April 2024. This is a truly impressive feat, especially considering the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on

global supply chains and construction timelines. Despite these hurdles, the project moved forward efficiently, showcasing the resilience and dedication of the teams behind this major milestone.

The new maintenance hangar replaces the historic Hal Nennig, which had been in use since 1951. Named after its engineer, Emile Nennig, this iconic building had been a cornerstone of Luxair’s history. After more than 70 years, Luxair Technics teams now have a fresh, purpose-built space designed to meet the needs of the airline’s growing fleet.

The hangar was officially inaugurated by Mrs Yuriko Backes, Minister of Defence, Mobility and Public Works, Gender Equality and Diversity. Her presence, alongside Mrs Jacqueline Breuer, Mayor of Sandweiler, and Mr Alexander Flassak, CEO of lux-Air-

port, as well as other public figures, underscored the significance of this project, not only for Luxair but also for the future of Luxembourg’s aviation industry.

“This new hangar represents a major turning point for Luxair and lux-Airport,” said Gilles Feith, Luxair CEO, during the opening ceremony. “It brings new energy to our teams and supports the future of Luxair as we grow. With our expanding fleet and modernized facilities, we are ready to meet the challenges ahead.”

The new hangar, now leased long-term to Luxair, symbolizes a shared ambition for a more responsible and innovative aviation industry in Luxembourg. It marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, laying the groundwork for the future as Luxair’s fleet continues to grow and its ambitions take flight.

ADAPTING AND EXPANDING FOR THE FUTURE

# 2 - NAVIGATING CHANGE:

ADAPTING AND EXPANDING FOR THE FUTURE

» A New Fleet for a New Era

The world is changing fast and Luxair is keeping pace by preparing for the future. In 2024, the company made significant progress in its fleet renewal, continuing its commitment to enhancing passenger experience and leading the way in efficiency and sustainability. This fleet renewal is not just about new aircraft; it’s about improving operations, reducing fuel consumption, and lowering emissions, ensuring that Luxair remains competitive, responsible, and ready for the future.

The journey towards this renewal began in 2023 when Luxair made several key aircraft orders. This included the purchase of four Boeing 737-8 aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2026 and 2027, and the order of four Boeing 737-7 aircraft, which made Luxair the European launch customer for this model. Luxair also placed an order for four Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, with options for five more, marking a significant step towards expanding its regional fleet.

In 2024, Luxair built on these foundational steps with several additional strategic moves. In July 2024, at the Farnborough International Airshow, Luxair placed an order for two Boeing 737-10 aircraft, with the option for two more. The 737-10, the largest in the family, is designed for maximum efficiency, making it a perfect fit for Luxair’s long-term growth plans. This was followed in December 2024 by Luxair exercising options from its October 2023 Embraer E195-E2 order, converting them into firm orders for two additional aircraft, a move that further strengthens its regional network.

In total, Luxair now has 16 Boeing 737 aircraft (including 737-7, 737-8, and 737-10 models) and 6 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft on order, with the possibility of expanding this fleet to 21 aircraft. The first of these new aircraft are set to join Luxair’s fleet in 2026, with preparations already underway to integrate them seamlessly into operations.

These new aircraft will offer greater comfort for passengers, including extra legroom, quieter cabins, and larger overhead bins for improved storage. Even more exciting are the environmental benefits: they will be significantly more fuel-efficient, reducing both emissions and noise compared to the aircraft they replace.

The perceived noise reduction of this new generation of planes is expected to exceed 20 %, and in the case of the Embraer E2, up to 35 %. These aircraft rank among the quietest in their respective categories and outperform many commonly used business aircraft in terms of noise emissions. Notably, the Embraer E2 produces lower noise levels than most aircraft typically operated at Luxembourg Airport, setting a new benchmark for quiet performance. In fact, its noise footprint is often smaller than that of a standard truck on the highway – making it particularly well-suited to noise-sensitive airport environments.

Beyond improving comfort and sustainability, the fleet renewal also supports Luxair’s long-term growth. The new aircraft will gradually replace older models, ensuring service continuity while enhancing operational efficiency. To prepare for this transition, Luxair is making a substantial investment in pilot training and recruitment. Training will begin in 2025, equipping the airline with a highly skilled workforce ready to operate the next generation of aircraft.

With this renewal programme, Luxair is placing the future in capable hands. This investment in advanced aircraft, talent, and technology reflects a broader ambition: to stay competitive, offer passengers a superior travel experience, and keep sustainability at the heart of everything Luxair does.

# 2 - NAVIGATING CHANGE: ADAPTING AND EXPANDING FOR THE FUTURE

» Preparing the Next Generation of Luxair Pilots

As Luxair gets ready to welcome new aircraft to its fleet, equal attention is being given to the future pilots who will be flying them.

In 2023, Luxair relaunched its Pilot Cadet Program with the recruitment of the first class of aspiring aviators. Their training began in 2024, marking the start of an exciting journey towards building a highly skilled team equipped to operate Luxair’s expanding and modernised fleet – including the Embraer E195-E2..

In partnership with BAA Training, a leading Spanish aviation training provider, and RWL German Flight Academy, a well-established German flight school, the program kicked off with a first group of cadets embarking on their training path to become Luxair pilots. This specialised training program is designed to lead cadets to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot License, complemented by type rating training focused primarily on the upcoming E2 aircraft sup-

porting Luxair’s long-term growth. Over an intensive period of up to 24 months, cadets will engage in rigorous classroom instruction, advanced simulator sessions, and practical flight training. By the end of 2025, the first cohort is expected to be fully qualified and ready to join Luxair’s flight crew family.

Luxair’s dedicated Cadet Program plays an essential role in this journey. The airline prefinances the cadets' training costs, providing a clear pathway from student to professional pilot. These training fees are then reimbursed by the cadets over a ten-year period, at zero interest. Furthermore, if a cadet remains with Luxair for at least six years, 25 % of the total cost will be waived and not subject to reimbursement. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are guaranteed a cockpit position at Luxair. This program removes the financial burden from talented cadets, enabling them to focus on their training. It ensures equal opportunities and pro-

vides a direct route to a rewarding career with Luxair. In 2024, additional recruitment rounds were conducted as part of the Pilot Cadet Program, with new groups set to begin their training in 2025. Luxair is particularly keen to attract candidates from the Greater Region who have successfully graduated from high school and are looking to pursue a career in aviation. This approach offers young talent in the surrounding areas an early opportunity to join the program and begin their journey towards becoming pilots.

Beyond the Cadet Program, Luxair continues to attract new talent through strong partnerships with flight schools across Europe, offering sponsorships to promising students. In 2024, Luxair expanded its recruitment outreach by organising more than ten dedicated roadshows across Europe. These events gave aspiring pilots the opportunity to learn about Luxair’s culture, explore available career paths, and discover

how they can be part of the airline's future growth.

To further support recruitment, Luxair has launched a dedicated online portal: https:// www.luxair.lu/en/pilot. Here, eligible candidates and aviation enthusiasts can explore open positions, detailed training programs, qualification requirements, salary structures, and benefits.

Luxair will continue to invest in the right talent and technology to ensure a strong and reliable operation for years to come. With a growing mix of skilled pilots and a fleet ready for the future, Luxair is setting the stage for continued success.

ADAPTING AND EXPANDING FOR THE FUTURE

A Glimpse of the Future: The Embraer E195-E2

Luxair’s relationship with Embraer dates back to the late 1980s, when the Brasilia E120 model was introduced into the fleet, marking the beginning of a long-standing partnership. Over the years, Luxair further strengthened this relationship by operating several generations of Embraer jets, including the ERJ 135 and ERJ 145, all of which served the airline reliably for many years and became synonymous with regional connectivity and performance. After the retirement of the ERJ 145 fleet, there was a period during which Embraer aircraft were no longer part of Luxair's operations. However, this trusted partnership is now being revitalized with the introduction of the new generation E-Jet E2 family. Embraer has always been known for building aircraft that are not

only efficient but also a pleasure to fly and operate. It's great to see their jets back in our fleet, ready to take us forward once again.

The new E195-E2 is set to bring significant benefits, offering advanced aerodynamic design, including high-aspect ratio wings and swept tips, which result in a remarkable reduction in emissions and fuel consumption, while also enhancing the overall passenger experience. The E195-E2, the largest in the E-Jet E2 family, has been specifically designed for high-density routes, maximizing both efficiency and returns.

For Luxair, the E195-E2 is an ideal addition to the fleet. It aligns perfectly with the airline’s goals of sustainable growth, offering

a 25 % reduction in fuel burn and emissions and cutting the noise pollution by up to 35 % compared to the aircraft it will replace. These advancements help Luxair reduce its environmental impact while ensuring quieter skies for passengers and surrounding communities. Inside, the E195-E2 features a 2/2 seating configuration, offering passengers more comfort compared to the traditional 3/2 configuration. This more spacious and comfortable layout, combined with a bright and modern cabin with large windows, ensures an enjoyable and relaxed travel experience.

In July 2024, Luxair welcomed the Embraer E195-E2 for a special stopover in Luxembourg. This symbolic visit marked a key

step in Luxair’s preparations for integrating the E2 into its fleet, providing a first-hand look at the aircraft that will support the airline’s next phase of growth.

The E195-E2 is more than just a new aircraft; it is a vital part of Luxair’s commitment to preparing for the future, delivering today on the expectations of tomorrow.

# 3 - CRAFTING EXCELLENCE: ELEVATING SERVICE AND CELEBRATING HERITAGE

# 3 - CRAFTING EXCELLENCE: ELEVATING SERVICE AND CELEBRATING HERITAGE

» Strengthening Connections and Enhancing Experiences

In 2024, Luxair continued to build on its commitment to offering new destinations, smarter tools, and meaningful improvements all aimed at providing passengers with a better travel experience and strengthening regional connectivity.

A key addition this year was the launch of the Manchester route. Since April 2024, travelers have been able to fly from Luxembourg straight into the UK’s second-biggest urban agglomeration. Manchester is a city buzzing with energy, where history meets modernity and industrial heritage blends with a thriving cultural scene. To celebrate the first flight, Luxair hosted a fun gate event, giving away scarves in the colors of the city’s famous football teams, a nod to Manchester’s vibrant football spirit.

Luxair also made continued progress in securing access to slot-restricted airports such as Milan-Linate and Rotterdam. In a strategic move, Luxair launched its new Rotterdam route during the winter 2024/25 season, aiming to establish a foothold at

the airport ahead of the summer schedule. Unfortunately, the necessary summer slots did not materialize, limiting the route’s potential for year-round operation. Meanwhile, in Milan, the airline operated flights to Linate exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays, initially in winter and, for the first time, during the summer. Despite persistent efforts, weekday slots remained out of reach in 2024, though Luxair continues to develop its offer in anticipation of expanded access.

In the Italian market, Luxair also strengthened its presence in Rome by adding three additional morning flights per week, complementing its existing evening service. This enhancement brought the total to up to 10 weekly flights, giving travelers greater flexibility and better connectivity throughout the day.

Elsewhere in the network, Luxair continued to invest in popular leisure destinations.

A second weekly flight to Chania was added for the summer 2024 season, offering more options to this sought-after Cretan desti-

nation. Málaga was also upgraded to daily service, responding to the strong demand for travel to southern Spain. Additionally, Valencia became a year-round destination with the launch of winter operations, building on its growing popularity.

To further expand its network, Luxair introduced a new seasonal route to Brač, a stunning Croatian island known for its crystalclear waters and charming villages. As one of the few airlines offering direct flights to Brač, Luxair provides travelers with a seamless journey, eliminating the need for a stopover in Split and the ferry transfer to the island. The weekly summer flights offer a perfect Mediterranean escape for those seeking a relaxing and picturesque getaway.

Innovation was a key driver in Luxair’s efforts to enhance customer engagement in 2024. The airline introduced two dynamic online tools designed to make trip planning easier and more personalized: the Interactive Destination Quiz tailors travel suggestions based on individual preferences, while the

Weekend Getaway Planner caters to spontaneous travelers, providing curated ideas for short breaks. These tools not only simplify the planning process but also make it more intuitive and enjoyable for travelers, helping them plan their trips with ease and excitement.

Onboard the aircraft, Luxair significantly enhanced the passenger experience. During the winter season, Business Class passengers on the Luxembourg–Dubai route were treated to a special menu, created in collaboration with Michelin three-star chef Thomas Schanz, showcasing the airline’s commitment to culinary excellence and local talent. Luxair also expanded its Business Class offering to more leisure destinations, including Málaga, Faro, and Tenerife, providing premium passengers with added comfort and exclusive service on selected holiday routes.

To streamline the passenger journey, Luxair introduced Group Boarding for all departures from Luxembourg in April 2024. This

change improved efficiency while maintaining priority boarding for those who need it. In 2024, Luxair also began the roll-out of Group Boarding to all stations, with plans to continue expanding this process in 2025. Additionally, LuxairTours enhanced its online payment options, offering greater flexibility and accessibility for a wider range of customers.

Loyalty programs were also further developed in 2024. The “Luxair High Five” promotion was extended until April 2026, continuing to reward frequent flyers with travel vouchers. Additionally, since August 2024, Miles & More members have been able to redeem their miles for Luxair Gift Cards, which can be used for both Luxair flights and LuxairTours packages, offering more choice in how travelers can spend their points.

LuxairTours also proudly maintained its ISO 9001 Quality Management certification for the 15th consecutive year, underscoring its consistent focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This long-standing quality assurance standard is a key factor that sets LuxairTours apart from combined travel packages sold via other platforms. Every Luxair Tours holiday includes carefully selected hotels, curated itineraries, and personalized support, ensuring a reliable and well-rounded travel experience.

Altogether, these developments reflect Luxair’s commitment to making travel smoother, more enjoyable, and more connected, all while staying true to its values of service, quality, and continuous improvement.

# 3 - CRAFTING EXCELLENCE: ELEVATING SERVICE AND CELEBRATING HERITAGE

Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future: Celebrating Heritage

In 2024, Luxair struck the perfect balance between honoring its past and looking ahead to the future. The company celebrated its rich heritage with fresh, creative initiatives that blended culture, style, and tradition in new and exciting ways. One of the highlights was the unveiling of the ‘Le Bourget 1962’ bag, a limited-edition piece created in collaboration with the French luxury leather goods brand Le Tanneur. Originally designed for crew members only, this stylish bag was made available to the public in limited quantities. Named after Luxair’s very first flight to Paris Le Bourget,

it quickly became a must-have for aviation and design lovers alike. To mark the occasion, Luxair hosted a bold and colorful photo shoot inside Hal Nennig, the airline’s former aircraft maintenance hangar, which is full of history and character.

Luxair also deepened its connection to Luxembourg’s culinary roots. By expanding its partnership with Luxlait, the airline upgraded its in-flight catering to include even more authentic local products. Launched in celebration of Luxlait’s 130th anniversary, this initiative gave passengers a true ‘taste

of Luxembourg’ at 30,000 feet while shining a spotlight on the airline’s support for regional producers.

2024 also marked several key anniversaries on Luxair’s route map. The airline celebrated 60 years of flights to Nice and Palma de Mallorca, two sunny destinations that helped shape the company’s early leisure travel offer. Nice was first added on 5 April 1964, and just over a week later, Luxair launched its triangular route connecting Luxembourg, Nice, and Palma de Mallorca. This move eventually led to the creation of

LuxairTours in 1968. The year also marked 20 years of service to Burgas, underscoring how Luxair has continued to grow its network while staying connected to the destinations that helped define its story.

All these initiatives weren’t just about looking back they are a testament to Luxair’s understanding of its roots and its ability to honor them. With each new step forward, the airline continues to carry its values, its story, and its unique identity into the skies.

» A Committed Local Player

In 2024, Luxair reaffirmed its role as a committed and responsible local player, actively supporting social causes, cultural identity, and national talent. This year’s efforts were marked by a combination of impactful initiatives and strong partnerships that reflected Luxair's commitment to the values of community.

Supporting Children and Families

One of the year’s standout projects was the return of the popular Christmas collection, which for the first time featured matching socks alongside the iconic ‘ugly Christmas sweaters’. The initiative once again successfully combined fun with purpose, raising funds for Kriibskrank Kanner and SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, reinforcing Luxair’s commitment to supporting children and families during the festive season. That same spirit of care was felt in March when Luxair opened its doors to children

from the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation for a fun-filled day of interactive workshops, storytelling, and visits from mascots LUXi and Poldi. This heartwarming event gave the young visitors a special introduction to the world of aviation.

Throughout 2024, Luxair deepened its commitment to causes close to its heart by supporting projects and initiatives that benefit people and communities in need.

The airline reinforced its long-standing partnerships with local associations and schools, facilitating student travel and delivering educational supplies to Cape Verde and Senegal. Luxair also supported key social and medical causes, including Rock Against Cancer, which raises funds for research initiatives.

Social Engagement and Awareness

Luxair continued to strengthen its social engagement by partnering with ‘Stand Speak

Rise Up!’, an initiative supporting women affected by violence. A powerful message of resilience took flight on the fuselage of one of Luxair’s De Havilland Q400 aircraft, with a custom livery designed by the airline’s creative team to symbolize strength and unity.

Global Presence and Local Commitment

One of the most significant moments of 2024 came in September, when Luxair had the honor of flying His Holiness Pope Francis on board its Boeing 737-8. To mark this occasion, the aircraft was adorned with a commemorative sticker and branded headrests, which were later sold to raise funds for the important work of the Jesuit Refugee Service in aiding young refugees. Luxair’s commitment to supporting local talent and representing Luxembourg on the global stage continued throughout the year. The airline backed motorbike racer

Chris Leesch in his pursuit of the Endurance World Championship and swimmer Julien Henx in his journey to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Luxair also proudly supported Luxembourg’s return to the Eurovision Song Contest, facilitating travel for the delegation and fans.

Connecting People, Values, and Stories

From charitable initiatives and cultural promotion to meaningful partnerships and sports sponsorships, 2024 showed that Luxair is more than just about connecting destinations. It is about connecting people, values, and stories - with heart and purpose.

Shaping a Supportive Workplace

In 2024, Luxair reaffirmed its role as a socially responsible and attractive employer, continuing to uphold a social model recognized as the best among airlines serving Luxembourg. Despite a challenging economic climate, the company stayed true to its values: delivering reliable, high-quality service while ensuring the workplace remains respectful, supportive, and rewarding.

Luxair’s commitment was recognized in 2024 when it was ranked as the most attractive company on a trusted recruitment platform, a clear sign that people are drawn to its wide variety of roles, dynamic environment, and strong values. From pilots to engineers to customer service professionals, Luxair offers opportunities for people with a range of talents and complementary skills.

Respect remains a cornerstone of Luxair’s culture. The company’s neutrality policy ensures that everyone feels safe, valued, and free to

focus on their work. It is a workplace centered on dignity, for customers and colleagues alike.

At the heart of Luxair’s approach is a sincere investment in employee well-being and recognition. In 2024, the company marked international celebrations with meaningful gestures.

On International Mother Language Day, Luxair acknowledged the rich mix of over 67 nationalities within its workforce, spotlighting the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of its team.

For International Women’s Day, the company honored its female colleagues with the theme “All Women Wear Capes”, recognizing their vital contributions across all areas of the business and supporting their well-being through dedicated initiatives.

Throughout the year, Luxair also celebrated the many professions that are essential to aviation. World Pilots’ Day paid tribute to the

expertise of its pilots who connect people and open new horizons. Aviation Maintenance Technician Day recognized the precision and dedication of those maintaining safe operations. International Cabin Crew Day celebrated the attentiveness and professionalism of flight crews who shape the passenger experience and ensure safety onboard. These events provided moments of gratitude and recognition for the people who make Luxair thrive.

Health and wellness remain core aspects of Luxair’s internal culture. The LG Sports association helped staff stay active through running, cycling, and football events. Weekly classes, from fitness and mobility to Qigong and Tai Chi, offered employees ways to reduce stress and connect outside of their daily roles.

Luxair also enhanced its commitment to workplace safety. Thanks to a new collaboration with the Red Cross and the Multisectoral Occupational Health Service, the company

trained 36% more first aiders in 2024. Staff now wear visible pins to ensure stronger safety coverage across all workspaces.

In 2024, Luxair once again demonstrated that its business goals align with its people-focused values. Through respect, recognition, health, and team spirit, the company continues to cultivate a strong and positive workplace, reinforcing its position as a trusted employer and a valuable contributor to Luxembourg’s economy and community.

# 4 - PAVING THE WAY FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

» From Ground to Sky: Luxair’s Journey Towards Sustainability

In 2024, Luxair took its commitment to sustainability to the next level, making it central to the company’s growth and evolution. Whether on the ground or in the air, the airline worked diligently to balance business performance with environmental and social responsibility.

As part of our ongoing fleet renewal, Luxair has committed to integrating next-generation aircraft of Boeing 737 and Embraer E2, a key element of our strategy for a greener future. These aircraft deliver significant environmental benefits, providing up to 25 % reduction in fuel burn and emissions compared to the aircraft they will replace. Additionally, the Embraer E195-E2 is designed to drastically reduce noise pollution. Its perceived loudness reduction is set to reach more than 20 %, and in the case of the E2 model, this reduction can be as much as 35 % compared to the aircraft it will replace. This performance is remar-

kable, as the Embraer E2 even outperforms common business jets operated at Luxembourg Airport, making a tangible difference to local communities living near the airport.

Luxair’s commitment to sustainability goes beyond just noise and emissions. The airline continuously assesses other impact areas, analyzing the societal and sustainability aspects of our business operations.

This holistic approach ensures that business decisions align with broader environmental, social, and governance goals, creating long-term value for our customers, employees, and stakeholders.

In 2024, Luxair published its first ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) report, reflecting the company’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainable practices into its business model. The report provides stakeholders with a clear overview of our progress and outlines the steps Luxair is taking towards a more sustainable future. Despite

the recent postponement of the CSRD and EU Taxonomy timelines under the Omnibus Directive, the company remains committed to publishing annual ESG reports to continue evaluating and communicating progress made on a yearly basis.

Regional airlines like Luxair, which play a crucial role in keeping communities connected, are actively pursuing more sustainable practices. However, persistent delays caused by inefficiencies in Europe's air traffic control (ATC) system remain a major challenge. The SES2 initiative, aimed at creating a unified and more efficient European airspace, has been under discussion for years with limited tangible implementation, and it has yet to deliver the expected improvements. Luxair continues to advocate for fair access to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), upgraded infrastructure, and real reforms that can address these systemic delays and support a more efficient

aviation network. The evolution of European regulations will be essential in achieving both environmental goals and maintaining economic resilience.

As Luxair continues this journey towards sustainability, the company remains focused on reducing its environmental impact, improving the passenger experience, and ensuring that sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. As Luxembourg’s national flag carrier, we take pride in being a socially responsible employer, committed to setting the benchmark for the best social model in the country’s passenger airline industry. Through strategic investments in technology, fleet modernization, and a commitment to transparency, Luxair is ready to meet tomorrow's challenges while continuing to deliver the quality service our passengers expect.
