Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay Terms and Conditions of Booking Civil Wedding Ceremony These terms and conditions aim to protect all parties through a better understanding of contractual and legal obligations of both the client and venue when confirming a booking.

Bookings/ Reservation All initial and subsequent telephone reservations must be confirmed in writing by you. The confirmation must include all requirements.

All bookings are considered provisional until both the client and Lusty Glaze Beach sign the contract.

All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. Once the contract is signed, and minimum numbers agreed, this will then constitute a legally binding contract.

This contract will detail the minimum numbers agreed at the time of booking. Final confirmation of numbers must be given three weeks before the event; if these numbers drop below the minimum numbers originally contracted, these contracted minimum numbers will be charged.

Deposit When any booking is made this should be confirmed in writing. A booking becomes confirmed on receipt of your letter of confirmation and a deposit of ÂŁ1700 inc VAT. It is advisable to take out personal cancellation insurance.

The deposit will be taken as confirmation of your booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay Payment Full pre-payment is required for all wedding bookings.

50% of the outstanding balance is due on or before - 4 months prior Final payment is due on or before – 4 weeks prior

All prices are inclusive of VAT at current rate and are subject to the rate in operation at the time of the function.

The Restaurant Civil Wedding Ceremonies within The Restaurant at the beach are available any day of the week from 3pm and can accommodate a maximum of 90 guests for the ceremony. A fee of £3,000 includes VAT applies.

The Upper deck Wedding Ceremonies on the Upper Deck are available Monday to Saturday inclusive from 12pm and can accommodate a maximum of 120 guests. A fee of £2,100 includes VAT The Foredeck Civil Wedding Ceremonies on the Foredeck are available any day of the week, at any time and can accommodate a maximum of 150 guests. A fee of £3,000 includes VAT

A combination of the above areas is possible depending on time of year and time of day.

Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay Charges do not include Registrar’s fees.
 If you wish to hold your wedding ceremony with us please note that it is, by law, non-religious. You will be required to contact the registrar yourself, by calling the Registration Information Service on 0300 1234 181 If it is venue hire only The Hirer is responsible for hiring a caterer of own choice and caterer is responsible for all crockery, cutlery, glasses, table linen and waiting staff. Venue hire only is not subject to VAT. All caterers must supply their own form of refrigeration. Please note that we will not be responsible for any arrangements made between you and the caterer. Although we will be pleased to provide details of frequently used caterers, arrangements will at all times remain between you and the caterer and we will have no involvement in this respect.

Please note that for legal reasons, we are not able to supply alcohol prior to a civil ceremony.

After the speeches and toasts all drinks must be purchased from the bar. No wine, champagne or other drinks may be supplied by the hirer for the evening party. NB: to comply with the licensing laws, the sale of alcohol by the hirer is strictly prohibited.

We request that only bio-degradable confetti is used, and in designated areas.

Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay Evening Receptions The Restaurant, Upper Deck and Foredeck are all available for Evening receptions by negotiation for a maximum of 300 guests.

If the function is for Evening reception only, the areas will be available from 5.30pm onwards. In consideration of our neighbours all entertainment will be required to finish at midnight Etiquette/General Lusty Glaze Beach reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of music and behaviour of the client, guest or representatives and the client must take all steps necessary for correct action.
 In the event of failure to comply with management request and in particular disorderly behavior by a guest, the venue reserves the right to terminate the contract or stop any event without being liable for any refund or compensation. The client agrees to pay Lusty Glaze for any food, beverage or other services not provided for in this contract but made available upon request of the client
 The Managers decision is final.

Guests using the facilities of Lusty Glaze must comply with all regulations concerning licensing, fire, health and safety.

Hazardous or dangerous items may not be brought onto the Beach or into the premises without prior permission. Lusty Glaze reserves the right to approve any externally arranged entertainment, services or activities that you have arranged.

It is the responsibility of the third party to provide all risk assessments and insurance for all externally provided activities conducted on site, all must be provided in writing on request.

Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay Any band or musician must comply with the terms stated within the 'public entertainment code of conduct.'

Guests may not consume food and drink on the premises not supplied by Lusty Glaze unless by prior arrangement.

Lusty Glaze Beach will be liable to you and your guests for injury or loss and damage only where and to the extent we have been negligent. Otherwise there shall be no liability whatsoever. We regret that we cannot be responsible for the security of your property.

You will be held liable for any loss or damage to Lusty Glaze property and fittings (including any items hired by us for your use), or for injury to anyone including Lusty Glaze staff arising as a consequence of this booking.

Lusty Glaze Beach reserves the right to charge for any additional services requested during the event if you do not adhere to agreed timings.

All conditions are subject to the law of England and Wales.

Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay Numbers The final number of guests attending must be notified in writing a month prior to the wedding. This will be the minimum number of guests charged for or greater if the numbers increase
 Accommodation At certain times of the year both the Beach Cottage and Beach Chalet may be available for use by the wedding party. The accommodation is managed by Cornish Cottage holidays and during certain times of the year is only available for weekly letting. A 10% wedding party discount will apply.

For guests to be eligible for the above discounts they must confirm their booking with a deposit a minimum of 3 months prior to the wedding date Payment 1 month prior to the event final details will be required, at which time a pro-forma invoice for the balance of account will be issued to be settled within 14 days.

Failure to meet payment on due dates will incur an interest charge on a daily basis being charged for every day over the contracted due date.

Failure to meet payment prior to the wedding date will result in the ceremony being cancelled by Lusty Glaze Beach. All external contractor/hire charges incurred will be the responsibility of the Wedding couple.

Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay Cancellations Wedding date to three months – In the event of a confirmed booking being cancelled Lusty Glaze will be entitled to retain the full balance of account for the event by way of liquidated damages for breach of contract.

Within three months of wedding date – Full venue fee non refundable Three to six months of wedding date - £450 will be retained Six months or more – Lusty Glaze reserves the right to retain £250 Please note that upon receipt of your deposit you agree to adhere to our terms and conditions.

All cancellations must be made in writing and it is strongly advised that a cancellation insurance is put in place through a third party.

Lusty Glaze Beach reserves the right to cancel an event under the following circumstances: If the booking might, in the opinion of the premises, prejudice the reputation of Lusty Glaze Beach If the client is in arrears with any payment Lusty Glaze Beach, or any part of it, is closed due to circumstances beyond our control. In this event a refund of any advance deposit will be paid but would have no other liability.
