Caught Between Survival, Healing, and Growth by Luke Calabro
Transitioning from military service to civilian life has always been a hardship faced by many veterans. We neglect to remember Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a common diagnosis of many veterans who have served during their military career via peacekeeping and peace-enforcing tours.
My proposal for this thesis is creating an environment that educates the public through learning and physical activity, generating further awareness of this disorder by developing through architectural language, spaces that help the healing and growth of the people who suffer from this affliction and provide an interactive social community environment for anyone who may need it.
