He then moved on to Kellogg Company, a leading $19 billion global food manufacturer in Battle Creek, MI During his tenure at Kellogg, Luis was a Senior HR Business Partner and Senior Employee Relations Consultant. His ability to navigate complex organizational structures and enhance the company’s HR functions stood out, especially given the global scale of the organization, which employed more than 33,000 individuals.

Luis’s career progressed further when he joined Grainger Industrial Supply, a major $10.5 billion global B2B industrial supply company. He served as Senior HR Manager, overseeing HR functions for 13 distribution centers across the U.S. and Mexico. His work in this role focused on implementing lean methodologies, improving employee engagement, and driving a “pay for performance” culture within the company. He led HR for a $750 million division across six U S and Canadian locations His initiatives to improve employee engagement, reduce turnover, and enhance productivity were highly successful. Under his leadership, three locations received the Employer of Choice award. Additionally, Luis led HR due diligence for an M&A involving a heavy-gauge aluminum boat business, showcasing his capability in handling complex mergers and acquisitions.

At Wheels, Inc , a fleet management company, Luis worked as an HR Manager and Strategic HR Business Partner. His role focused on creating human capital strategies and managing a small HR team to drive talent acquisition and retention His leadership was especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he ensured business continuity by transitioning employees to remote work, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
