Introduction Most people aspire to own a lot of assets. They start by purchasing a personal vehicle immediately they get employed and then later realise that this is a depreciating asset.

In early 30s, most people then start investing in other assets such as land and homes.

By age 40, the cash is all held in property loans. This is the time they realise that now that retirement is approaching, cashflow is the real deal. Those who retire without adequate cashflow to take care of their emergencies after retirement become very worried as they approach age 50. This is a tight situation for majority of people who did not plan adequately for retirement. This book has been designed for both young and old to start planning for retirement through building passive income over a period of time.

The Monetise Your Message (MYM) training will help you build several streams of income using your talent or gift. In addition, the training will help you automate the business which can run automatically without your intervention. This means that the business can run itself in your old age.

Mindset I have put together ELEVEN key steps that you can use to build a new stream of income and make ensure that it grows steadily to become your most valuable source of passive income.

1. Start by crafting a compelling message that will attract your ideal customer – more often than not, this should be a personal story around a gift, hobby, experience or a skill that is unique to you. This should be something you believe in and are passionate about.

2. You are the expert at what you know – for example, if you went through a rough experience in the past and overcame it, then you can help other people who are going through similar experience. All you need is to craft a unique offer that can sell.

3. You must know your ideal client very well – your client should find value in what you have to offer. Your offer must be of value and can benefit your client. So, if you are writing about an experience you overcame, you need to define your target client using your personal characteristics, as follows; a. What is the age range of your target client? b. What is the sex of your ideal client? c. What is the income level of your ideal client? d. What is the level of education?

4. What are the fears, aspiration, dreams of your target client? What are the desires and motivations of your ideal client? What are their interests and concerns? What do they aspire to achieve? What are their frustrations?

5. Is there a good market for your product or service? – is the market you are targeting large enough to create a good level of income? Choose a market

Message 6. Allocate time each day to work on your message – you may consider having a timetable whereby each day has a subject to research on and script the notes in a central location.

7. Read widely and gather enough information around the message of your choice – first of all, define a high-level list of topics that you want to research on and go ahead and start gathering as much information as possible.

8. Organize your material – organize your message into 3 – 7 key topics and provide additional context to each topic. Make sure you add flavour to the message based on your personal experiences as this will inject the authenticity that it requires.

9. Price your message – there are various ways to ensure you maximise on income generated though the sale of your packaged message. You can have an entry level, medium level and premium packages for different types of clients.

Delivery 10. Message delivery methods – there are many options that one can use to deliver the message to potential clients these include but not limited to the following; a. Use online tools to deliver a classroom session b. Write a book and price it well based on your target market c. Develop a product and put it on supermarket shelves d. Deliver message through videos 11. Practice! Practice! Practice! – ensure you practice what you want to

Additional TIPS 12. Consider getting a mentor or coach – the mentor / coach will hold your hand and guide you in getting where you are going faster. DO NOT consult people who have not taken a similar journey before you as their advise might be misleading. Always consult the experts in the craft that you are working on.

13. Persistence and resilience – there will come a time when you feel like giving up along the way. DO NOT GIVE UP!! Ensure you stick to your plan however long it takes. It will be worth the journey once you realise your dreams.

14. Timelines – give yourself milestones with well defined delivery dates. You may consider writing down a workplan. This will keep you on track.

15. Choice of working environment – you can choose to work from a quiet place or may consider putting some music to make the atmosphere attractive to your preferred working atmosphere. In addition, choose a table, comfortable
