JLUCKY LORMARKS THE ORIGINATOR OF ‘NIGERIAN MUSIC BEAT’ AND HIS PERSISTENCE IN HIS MUSIC TALENT JLucky Lormarks is the Afro-Ragga Music Creator, with real name; Lucky Chukwuka Obah. Born on the 14th of November, 1976, by Chief J.O. Obah (the Obasogie of Egbudu-Akah), and Chief Mrs. Victoria A. Obah (Nee Ogor), both of Egbudu-Akah in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. Lucky started music from birth, but came to his music realization at the age of eight, when he was inaugurated into the Illoh Primary School Band Boys Group, and St. Theresa’s Catholic Church choir, Egbudu-Akah, while in primary school at that age. And while in secondary school, also was inaugurated into Egbudu-Akah (Mixed) Secondary School Cultural Dance Group, Art Club, Debating and Dramatic Societies, as well as ‘Osisi Di Nma’ Dance Group of Egbudu-Akah Cultural Dance Troupe. Earlier in his years, Lucky had formed a four boys music group made up of his childhood friends, who are also relatives and school mates like; Sunday (Daniel Obi-Okolie), Boniface Ozele, Okolie (Martin Obah), and Himself, the Leader, and lead Singer and instrumentalist, while Daniel, his Deputy. Later, Goddey Okonji was added to the group. Every night, large crowd of people would gather, and be entertained by Lucky and his group who performed both latest and every known songs in their locality, with the playing of instruments formed with gathered tins, gallons, basin as drum, tray placed on bicycle wheel/reel that made good sound of the hi-hats with the combination of the big basin sound as drum set.
